Here’s an exclusive EXCERPT from The Shameless Hour! Enjoy. I heard the band start to play the classic one-two Merengue rhythm that I’d heard my whole life. On the dance floor, the energy picked up as the geezers began to move to the faster beat. “Let’s go,” I said, standing up. I offered Bella my hand. But Bella shook her head. Even worse, she scooted her chair toward the wall. “Don’t leave me hanging,” I said, my hand still waiting in the air. “Come on now. Nobody… Read more »

$15 GIVEAWAY and SNEAK PEAK COVER REVEAL: Meet Me In The Dark by JA Huss

$15 GIVEAWAY and SNEAK PEAK COVER REVEAL: Meet Me In The Dark by JA Huss

EXCLUSIVE EXCERPT I study his back as he flips some more pancakes. He’s hot. I didn’t want to tell him that the last time I thought about it. But there’s no denying. Merric Case gets what he wants because a) he doesn’t take no for an answer, b) he’s got the skills to back up his “requests”, and c) he’s handsome. He fills his plate, walks around the counter, and takes the barstool next to me. “Eat,” he says, pointing to my plate with a fork. A second later he’s stuffing his face. I take a bite, then a few more before gulping some juice and coming up for air. “Mmmm. It’s good.” “I know,” he says smugly. “I have two talents, Sydney Channing. Killing and cooking.” I nod and stare at my food. Right. “So do you want me to take you to the truck?” I take a bite… Read more »

GIVEAWAY and Release Day Blitz for Fall With Me by Jennifer Armentrout

GIVEAWAY and Release Day Blitz for Fall With Me by Jennifer Armentrout

As you know, I’m a really big fan of  this author. I devour all her books…she never disappoints! Once you read this excerpt, I know you will do what I did and one-click! FALL WITH ME Excerpt: Someone—was it Melvin?—catcalled as Reece led me down the hall, and my cheeks flushed. “Okay, heman, I can walk all by my little self.” He cast a look over his shoulder at me as he opened the office door. “I’m sure you can.” Then he pulled me inside. My gaze flipped to the roses—the roses!—but before I could say a word, he closed the door and my back was pressed against it, his hands planted on either side of my head and his face right in mine. Like right there, within kissing distance. Wow. “So, I was at my father’s place in New Jersey most of the day, and you know, he lives… Read more »

NEW Release & Excerpt for Holding Strong by Lori Foster

NEW Release & Excerpt for Holding Strong by Lori Foster

Holding Strong is apart of the Ultimate Series, which includes these title. Hard Knocks No Limits (A Novella) Holding Strong Tough Love Fighting Dirty Excerpt: Gaze softening, her attention went all over his body. “Seriously, Denver. Did you really want to argue right now?” He searched her face. “No.” Hell no. Especially not with her looking at him like that. He moved in again, one hand on the wall by her shoulder. “Thing is, I’m not sure you want what I want.” For the longest time, their gazes held while her breathing quickened and her cheeks warmed. Finally, in a whisper, she asked, “Do you want me?” With one short nod, he pressed her to the wall, feeling her all along his length. “Have for a long time.” “You hid it well.” “Then I’m one hell of an actor.” He brushed his mouth over her forehead. “We have a lot… Read more »

Happy ONE Year Anniversary to Guns by JA Huss

Happy ONE Year Anniversary to Guns by JA Huss

Any one who knows me, knows I love Spencer Shrike with a passion. I claimed him as my top book boyfriend over a year and a half ago… and one year ago today, Guns: The Spencer Book released. Julie gave me an ARC on my 28th birthday and I cried. I cried a lot through this book; because her characters became real to me. I fell in love with #theteam and wanted to be a part of their world. I wasn’t ready to say good-bye. The Rook and Ronin series and spin-offs also led to an online group of ladies, Julie’s street team, who became a family of friends throughout this series. I continue to interact with these ladies on a daily basis, many who I chit chat with on the phone, send funny texts, or simply PM. We are a close knit group of friends, all who came together… Read more »

A. MUST. READ… Need by KI Lynn and N. Isabelle Blanco

A. MUST. READ… Need by KI Lynn and N. Isabelle Blanco

Kristi’s Review: I don’t even know  how I can adequately put my thoughts into words that would remotely come close to telling you how much I freaking LOVED this book. Love—is an understatement. I devoured this book. I want to reread this book, already. I want each and every romance person out there to read this book. Brayden is such a dirty talker…and I loved every word. I heard a lot about this book from my book friends. So I one-clicked when it released. I’m digging the taboo reads lately, and if you follow this blog or our Facebook page, or know me from Shrike Bikes, you know I’m a fan of the step-brother trend in books. This is by far MY FAVORITE step-brother read to date. It’s a top read so far this year. It’s a top NA read, ever. So why did I wait to read this book?… Read more »

Giveaway and Happy Release Day to Alyssa Rose Ivy for her book, The Hazards of Sleeping with a Friend!

Giveaway and Happy Release Day to Alyssa Rose Ivy for her book, The Hazards of Sleeping with a Friend!

Exclusive Excerpt! The Hazards of Sleeping with a Friend by Alyssa Rose Ivy I’d never seen Jade so happy and light. Her smile was real. It wasn’t the sarcastic, casual smile she used at school, but a giant, I love life smile that made my heart beat faster. This was the real Jade. Jade with the pony tail and no makeup, with sneakers and shorts, and a little bit of mud. I wanted to believe it was more than the outdoors bringing it out in her. I wanted to believe it was me. But it probably wasn’t. I generally didn’t have that effect on people, but I could pretend. I could pretend that the night—and morning—we spent together would become something more. “I could stay out here forever.” Jade pulled on my arm to get me to look out at the view. “I could too, but it’s going to rain.”… Read more »

Our Weekend is BOOKED… our picks for a great weekend read!

Our Weekend is BOOKED… our picks for a great weekend read!

TGIF… one thing we love here at NAA is reading over the weekend. Nothing  is better than being able to relax on the comfy sofa with a good book and a steaming cup of coffee, or big full glass of wine, OK, a BOTTLE of wine. We thought it would be fun to give you a mini list of books and reviews in case you’re looking for a good book this weekend.   Kristi’s Pick: Getting Dirty by Mia Storm In this book, which is loosely based on the author’s own experiences– is a hot, forbidden  love tale. I love a book that features an older guy and a younger girl, and this didn’t  disappoint. How far would you go  for true love? How much would you risk? If you like this kind of taboo read, one-click this book and fall in love with Caiden and Blaire. To read the… Read more »

Jana’s Review of CODA by CD Reiss

Jana’s Review of CODA by CD Reiss

WHY I thought this was going to be a fluff piece, I do not know. I’ve read all the books, obviously. No one jumps in on book 9 if they haven’t read the first 8, unless they live in trollville. So I imagined we were getting a sweet little Happily Ever After with this final book. Two hundred pages of babies & puppies & and a rocking sex life in a magical land where babies never cry and no one argues over why the dog peed on the carpet again. Um, not so much. Nope. Coda is a real book. Gut wrenchingly real. Painfully real. Honestly real. And for that, thank you. Because we’ve all read the swan song finale books that are in the end, not that satisfying. Because we think we want 200 pages of unicorns, but when we get them, we end up kinda shrugging and saying,… Read more »

TOUR Review: Holding Strong by Lori Foster

TOUR Review: Holding Strong by Lori Foster

Kristi’s Thoughts… I need to begin with how much I loved, Loved, LOVED Lori Foster’s SBC series. I read them awhile ago, awhile ago meaning in paperback form, prior to my eReader. So I’ve been a fan for a long time. I was stoked to receive an ARC of this book and dove right in. Denver and Cherry are an explosive couple. If you’re a fan of insta-love and insta-lust, you will love this book. I think it was an instant pairing because I’m assuming in book one, there is build up, but since I didn’t read book one, I’m only guessing. I love an alpha man and Denver is about as alpha and controlling as they come. Cherry has a shady past and when that past resurfaces— Denver stakes his claim and wants to protect her from any harm. If I’m honest, this isn’t my favorite Lori Foster book,… Read more »

REVIEW: Hate F*@k:part one

REVIEW: Hate F*@k:part one

From the Inside Flap –excerpt–  With a thunk, I drop my forehead to the desk. Fuck. My. Life. I only wallow in self-pity for a minute. My boss is right. I can go home and knit, and at least if I’m there, my co-workers will be able to come and go as they please. It’s not like I’m being super productive or anything. I yank my bag out from under the desk, stick Ellen’s list of website fixes into the outside pocket, because those I can do from home, and slide on my oversized, extra-dark sunglasses. No way are those assholes getting a picture of my whole face. I don’t bother to say goodbye. I just power down my computer and head for the back staircase. There’s a gated backyard that leads to an alleyway, and I can dash across it into the back of the import/export shop across the way. From… Read more »
