Stacking the Shelves #3

This is my third week of Stacking the Shelves, which is a weekly meme hosted by Tynga’s Reviews.  Stacking The Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks!

 This is a really great way to find new books and bloggers to watch and I can see myself doing this meme regularly…at least the weeks where I get new books.  If that turns out to be every week I might not have time to do anything BUT read!  :)

 This is TWO WEEKS worth of books because I didn’t do a post last week.  OK, here’s what I got:

Both VAIN (TOUR stops here January 10!!!! YAY! – I LOVED THIS BOOK!!!) and Dark Lover are on my Top Ten Books to read in the New Year, so I’m pretty happy about knocking those two off immediately.  Plus, Dead Sky Morning is part of the Experiment in Terror Series, and that’s on my list too.  I haven’t started that one yet though.  

The bottom three are SF (that you know I LOVE!) and I got Outer Bounds Fortune’s Rising I free over Christmas and The Martian for only 99 cents.  Outer Bounds has some psycho kid in it and that totally reminds me of Junco, so I really need to see what this series is all about.

Peter F. Hamilton is one of my ALL TIME favorite SF authors.  He’s just incredible with his space opera, and Great North Road got awesome reviews.  

Leashing the Tempest I won in a contest over at my Best Blogger Friend The Book Tart’s website.  (Waves to the Queen of Tarts!)  

Thoughtless just looks like a good New Adult book, so I picked that one up for fun.

Sea of Tranquility was on a favorite list I hopped through over Christmas week and I thought it sounded like my kind of book.  If it’s a clean read, and I’m not sure by the description and that’s why it caught my eye in the first place, but if it is then I might review this one over at Clean Teen Reads, my new YA Book Blog.  I am REALLY going to try and keep this blog filled with New Adult stuff ONLY.  But of course, if it’s not clean…well, all bets are off.  I think mature teen reads belong in the New Adult category myself.  So, we’ll see.
