What’s a girl to do when her parents gift her with a man for Christmas?

Caught between two kingdoms, Jordan has given up the privileged world of intergalactic court life to become an interstellar biologist researching space sharks. Unexpectedly saddled with a husband from a race who are rumored to be sex fiends, her life is yanked in a direction she doesn’t want.

But Cai isn’t human and he must have the emotional feedback of a mate in order to survive. Charged with protecting Jordan, can he win her heart and keep her safe from harm?

Will they survive the challenges that arise…sexual, emotional and political? Time is ticking away and it’s not on their side.

REVIEW

I won A kiss for a Cure from The Book Tart during Sidney Bristol’s Happy Book Birthday Party.  Yes, you read that right – a Happy Book Birthday Party.  You gotta love The Book Tart – she comes up with the craziest stuff.  And if you really want to get the dirt on these ladies you must check out the Happy Book Birthday party for Collar Me in Paris because includes a special Kat and Sid Google Giggle Hangout that you must not miss!  They are crazy!  :)

Anyway – I won this book because I’m cool.  No, Rafflecopter picked me I think.  And I’m so freaking glad it did because I’m a total SF GEEK!  And this book, A Kiss for a Cure is a total SF ROMANCE!  As Kat would say :::Kermit Flail:::  Or lately she’s doing :::Snoopy dance:::  both of which are awesome!

Anyway, back to Sidney’s book.  I’d been seeing this book all over and it was quite hard to forget – I mean just read the description OK?  You have a woman who studies sharks in outer space and she gets a man (husband actually) as a Christmas present from her parents!  And to top it off – he’s an alien who requires “feedback”  :::snicker::: in the form of physical touching in order to live.  Holy freaking crap – that is brilliant, Batman!

I loved this story because it has everything I like in it.  It has a ton of cool SF stuff – and let me just say here, I’m no shark expert but my “real” job is writing little mini science textbooks and I have one on Sharks – so I know a thing or  two.  And Sidney got all the cool shizz about them in the story, right down to the ampullae of Lorenzini.  Yup – now that’s research.
It’s a very, very sexy story because the hero, Cai, is an alien race called a Galairian (and hey, it’s cool that she gave the alien race a name you can pronounce, right?  I hate that, when you can’t pronounce the alien stuff). And the Galairians require a personal connection in order to live.  So Jordan, our heroine, is sent a man for Christmas by her parents, who actually have an ulterior motive, but she thinks the worst of course.
In her nerdy scientific brain, she comes up with a solution to Cai (he needs her, so she can’t just throw him out, he has to touch her to live now).  Jordan’s brilliant idea is to make him a cure for this feedback.  Mayhem ensues!  But mayhem that ends up requiring lots and lots of feedback from Jordan.  :)
OK, I’m ending it there, but this is a quick, fun, smexy story that will make you smile and wish for your own alien in need of feedback wrapped up under the Christmas tree next year.  (Or maybe I’m projecting?)
