Series:
Genres: Contemporary, New Adult, Romance

Up for grabs this weekend are Selling Scarlett and Taming Cross, books one and two in the LOVE INC series by Ella James. This weekend I’ll be giving away two copies of each, so there will be two winners. But this contests ends tomorrow night and I’ll gift out the eBooks on Sunday, so HURRY UP AND ENTER!

I’ve already reviewed Selling Scarlett and I’ll have my Taming Cross review on Sunday (I’m reading it right now). This series is so great. And even though Selling Scarlett is about a young woman selling her virginity off to the highest bidder, that’s NOT what that book is about. It’s so, SO much more. Both of these books are about how far you’d go to help out a friend in need. And in the case of Taming Cross, I’m only 10% in, but it’s about how far you’d go to help someone you don’t even know. So if you like romantic suspense, smexy love scenes, an original plot, and well developed characters–this series is for you.
Also – Taming Cross has some of the same characters in it as Selling Scarlett, but this is Cross’ story and can be read as a standalone.
SELLING SCARLETT
BY ELLA JAMES
NA CONTEMPORARY ROMANCE
Elizabeth DeVille doesn’t belong at a party like this—one where the gowns cost more than her Camry and cigars run higher than her grad school utility bills. Dragged out of seclusion by her best friend Suri, Elizabeth is merely playing dress-up, rubbing elbows with a crowd that banished her troubled family years ago.
Hunter West is tired. Tired of parties, tired of pretending, and tired of trying to right a wrong that haunts him every day. Bourbon heir and professional poker player by day, by night Hunter is gambling with his life in a high-stakes game of crime and blackmail.
When Elizabeth stumbles into Hunter’s den of vices, she’s a light in the darkness, a flame in the void. And, just like everything he touches, Hunter mars her in a record time.
To rectify the damage done, Elizabeth needs money she doesn’t have, and she’s come up with a foolproof way to get it.
Follow Elizabeth—code-named Scarlett—to the lush Nevada brothel where she’ll auction her virginity and risk the only thing that’s not for sale: her heart. The highest bidder is a familiar face, with wicked hands and the devil’s mouth. And a secret so dark that it could cost her life.
TAMING CROSS
BY ELLA JAMES
NA CONTEMPORARY ROMANCE
For twenty-three years, Cross Carlson was a playboy. You know the type. Tall, dark, and wealthy. Blue-eyed. Charming. He seemed to have it all so easy. But Cross was harboring a terrible secret – one that helped ruin the life of an innocent girl and almost ended his own.
Finally out of the hospital, Cross is flailing, scarred in both body and mind and stifled by the weight of the secret he still keeps. The only way to absolution lies in a Mexican convent, and going there could cost him everything.
If there’s anyone who knows what it’s like to screw up big time, it’s Meredith Kinsey. Just a few years ago, Merri was an ordinary girl with a job at her college newspaper and white picket fence kind of dreams. Now she’s holed up in a Mexican convent, hiding from a drug lord who thinks he owns her.
What happens when the only way out of hell is with the son of the man who put you there? They say love conquers all, but does it really?

Depends on how high the risk. Only reason I would hesitate is because of my kids. They need their Mom

For my best friend yep. For a stranger it has to depend in the situation
Kimberly Sheridan
I would absolutely for even a casual acquaintance. For a stranger, probably.

Yes I would I wouldn’t think twice about it!

I would definitely risk my life for family and friends, for a stranger depends on the situation. If it’s child, definitely, I wouldn’t risk my life for some bad guy that probably got himself in that situation. But others maybe. Thanks for sharing the giveaway. evamillien at gmail dot com
Kayla H
I would totally!
Jessica @ Just a Booklover
For a friend, most likely. For a stranger…depends on the stranger and the risk. But honestly, I probably would. Not because I’m Perfect McPerfectson, but because I’d probably feel guilty otherwise. I’m like that. Heh.

I have risked my life for both – without hesitatiion. I was a lifeguard for nearly half of my life and somehow still manage to have to rescue people on occasion when on vacation in the ocean.
Heather
Hmmm. Not sure. I have three kids. I would definitely risk my life for my kids.
Tammy
Sure, I’ve lived a great life but it would be a shame not to finish all those books on my to-read list 😉

I would like to think I would risk my life for a friend but my kids are still young now so I would think my first concern would be to make sure I am there for them. I know that must sound horrible but my kids always have and always will come first.
Tina Brimlow
It would have to depend on the friend I would risk my life for
Donna
Thanks for the chances!
Jodi Shaw
Yes, I think I would
Erika
I don’t know because I have my kids to think about. Thanks!

It depends on the situation for a friend and a stranger but I would risk my life for a friend.
Alina
I would like to think that in the right situation, yes, I would put my life on the line for not only my friend (goes without saying) but a stranger as well.
Rachelle

shelley
Yes I would, I quite like the idea 😉
Cathy H
Honestly, I think I would but until you find yourself in the moment can you know for sure?
Denice
Yes, I would risk my life for a friend… And there’s a 50-50 chance that I will do that for a stranger… I really don’t know…
Terrie
I would give my life for a friend. My friends would do the same for me. A stranger not so much.
Cristina Riquelme
I would love to give my life to a friend. But if the circumstances are different (meaning my friends are in no danger) I will too give my life to a stranger.
Deb Liu
Yes, I would. Thanks for the giveaway.
Bonnie Hilligoss
I would not risk my life for a stranger, but if I could help safely, I would. For family, I would definitely risk my life. Friends – it would depend on the friend and the situation. I’m a little selfish and would like to stay alive.
Jackie
Again, everything depends on the situation, but I would try.

For my friend a stranger depends on the circumstances.
Lexxie @ (un)Conventional Bookviews
I might risk my life for a very good friends, but only if my kids weren’t at risk at the same time. I kind of doubt if I would risk my life for a complete stranger… That might sound callous, but that’s the truth.
Thanks for hosting this great giveaway!

I guess it could be just about anything if I was really close to that person but there are not many I allow to get that close
Regan
I would definitely risk my life for a friend…possibly for a stranger it would depend on the circumstance and if the stranger was vulnerable or helpless (ex: a child).
