COVER REVEAL: Tempt by Cambria Hebert

About Cambria Hebert Cambria Hebert is the author of the young adult paranormal Heven and Hell series, the new adult Death Escorts series, and the new adult Take it Off series. She loves a caramel latte, hates math and is afraid of chickens (yes, chickens). She went to college for a bachelor’s degree, couldn’t pick a major, and ended up with a degree in cosmetology. REVIEW: All Of You by Christina Lee

REVIEW: All Of You by Christina Lee

I absolutely adored All of You! I will admit, going into it, I was slightly skeptical. The thought of the hero being a virgin was intriguing, but I was pretty sure I was going to be doing some serious eye-rolling. But I didn’t, and I don’t think you will either. What I liked: The hero and the heroine both made absolute sense. This book reminded me a lot of Wait For You in the fact that they are neighbors, and both have issues.  I really liked Bennet, and completely understood why he was waiting once more about his family was revealed.  Avery was great too, and I never found myself ready to strangle her, which is always a bonus. There is a really sweet side-storyline about an elderly lady that Avery takes care of in a nursing home, and through her we see that Avery isn’t nearly as tough as… Read more »

COVER REVEAL and EXCERPT: Trusting You by LP Dover

COVER REVEAL and EXCERPT: Trusting You by LP Dover

EXCERPT His lazy grin grew wider. “I wondered if I’d ever see you again,” he murmured in his low, sexy voice. I scoffed and tried to step back, but he moved forward, closing the space. Placing my hands on my hips, I said, “Yeah, I bet. Someone like you probably has a different woman every night. I’m pretty sure you don’t even remember my name.” What’s bad is that I remembered his. I didn’t want to remember it, but I did; it was Brett Walker and he was twenty-eight years old, just like me. Smirking, he narrowed his eyes. “I could say the same for you. You were the one who left me, remember? Imagine my surprise when I woke up and your side of the bed was cold. You didn’t even say good-bye … Melissa. I must say it was a first for me.” Amazon.com Widgets  About LP Dover… Read more »

Website | Facebook | Twitter | Google+ | Pinterest | Goodreads       My Review: Kinetic’s cover immediately drew me in, and it turns out the characters are as unique as the pretty on the front. I’m not quite sure that I would classify it as new adult. It’s more adult. What I liked: There are  a lot of things to like about Kinetic. My favorite is probably the different abilities,… Read more »

Review: Unspoken by Jen Frederick

Review: Unspoken by Jen Frederick

This is the first book I’ve read by Jen Frederick, so I was new to the Woodlands novels. I didn’t feel like I was missing anything though, and it was easy to jump right in. What I liked: Jen Frederick’s writing style was easy to sink into, and very descriptive–at times a little too much so. There is a ton of internal monologue, and the book  and even the paragraphs are unusually dense for a NA Contemporary Romance. I both liked and disliked that, because I enjoyed the extra length, but at times it felt unnecessarily dense. I definitely liked AM, our heroine. She’s strong, and she’s gutsy, and I liked that about her a lot.  There were times where she needed to wake up and smell the coffee, but overall she’s quite admirable. I think my favorite scene is when she stands on the table at a party, telling… Read more »

GIVEAWAY and REVIEW: Life, Love, & Lemons by Magan Vernon

GIVEAWAY and REVIEW: Life, Love, & Lemons by Magan Vernon

REVIEW Poor Bentley. Literally, poor Bentley. She used to be rich but her dad lost his job, and then the house, and then her private school education, and her friends. Now she’s living in a small two bedroom apartment on the wrong side of town and is going to a school with metal detectors and has a nice gang problem going on. Enter boy-next-door, who is sorta punk/goth, Kai. I loved Kai. In fact, I wish he had more time in this book because he was fantastic. A nice walking contradiction—is he a bad boy with his tattoos and piercings? Or is he a good boy who respects his God-fearing mother. Well, he’s both, so I liked that. He’s got his own set of rules in life, probably based on his mother’s religion, but I like young adult books about kids who can stretch the limits but always know where… Read more »

SNEAK PEEK EXCERPT: Sia by Josh Grayson

SNEAK PEEK EXCERPT: Sia by Josh Grayson

EXCERPT I reach my locker and just start unlocking it when Kyle stops beside me. He’s dressed comfortably in faded jeans and a black t-shirt with a yellow Batman logo on it. I smile broadly. “Hey.” It’s hard to describe just how good I feel, seeing him there. Yet I don’t miss the stunned expressions on Amber and Stacy’s faces, or how they spin towards each other to whisper something. In Amber’s world, Kyle is a loser, so I’m sure their words aren’t pleasant. I turn my back to them. “Hey,” he replies. He keeps his eyes purposefully away from the other girls. So he knows, I think. What must that feel like, knowing people are looking down on you? Saying cruel things? He doesn’t deserve this. But he doesn’t appear to care. He leans casually against the locker beside me. “Just thought I’d tell you I saw Carol this… Read more »
