“Our baby died on prom night, and nothing was ever the same again.”
Corabelle doesn’t feel like any of the other college girls. On what should have been one of the happiest nights of her life, she and her boyfriend Gavin watched a nurse disconnect the ventilator from their seven-day-old baby. During the funeral two days later, Gavin walked out and never returned.
Since then, her life has been a spiral of disasters. The only thing that has helped is her ability to black out whenever the pain gets too hard to bear, a habit that has become an addiction.
When Gavin shows up in her astronomy class four years later, he is hell-bent on getting her back, insisting she forgive him. Corabelle knows she can’t resist the touch that fills the empty ache that has haunted her since he left. But if he learns what she has done, if he follows the trail back through her past, her secrets will destroy their love completely. And once again, she’ll lose the only person who always believed she was innocent.

I guess it depends on what the secret is. If it’s not something that will affect the other person then I would probably keep it to myself. There are some things that are better left unsaid.

It definetely depends on the secret. Your real age or weight? It’s ok to keep that a secret :) Something that will affect someone else, spouse having an affair, someone dealing with substance abuse? Tell it!!

I would def say it is better to get secrets out in the open; if not they weigh on you down. And I’m a stronger believer sooner or later the secret gets leaked so why not be the one to reveal it! This book sounds sooo good Good luck to everyone

That all depends on how bad the secret is. Sometimes it’s just better to keep those secrets locked up forever. Sometimes I wonder if I had never asked that question and found out the answer if my life would be a little different now. I’m sure it would be!! So I say closet them forever!!

  5. Heather

I think it depends. If it can come back and bite you then it should probably be out in the open.

  6. Marcy Meyer

It seems like keeping secrets would eat away at a person, but I think maybe it depends on the details of the secret itself.

  7. Diana Doan

I think it depends on what the secret is and the purpose of revealing said secret. Some are meant to stay hidden.

It depends on the secret. If its something than needs to be out in the open then share if not then don’t :)

  9. Mary Bilowus

Depends on the secret but I do think its best to get things out in the open.

  10. Mary Preston

It depends on the secret. Some things should stay secret, but other would need to be aired & dealt with.

  11. Blacky

Some secrets are better off never said because there’s no point in knowing and they would only cause pain. BUT in most cases it’s better just to confess :)

  12. Kirsty

I think it is always better to get secrets out in the open, but we all know it isn’t that easy.
