GUNS EXCERPT –SPENCER “Rook’s not pregnant,” Ronin says the next morning, as he strides into the office, his hair messed and his t-shirt wrinkled. He flops down on the black leather couch off to the side of my desk. I shoot Ronin with my finger. “Gotcha. OK. We ready to discuss business?” “Ashleigh is,” Ford says. He shakes the Wall Street Journal a little to straighten it out as he holds it up to his face. “Ashleigh is what?” Ronin asks. “Pregnant.” “Ford, don’t mess with the guy. He’s got baby on the brain since Elise is due to pop out a niece. Not to mention you coming home with Ashleigh and Kate.” Ford ignores me. “She didn’t pee on the stick yet, but I know she’s pregnant.” He turns the page of the newspaper. “How?” Ronin asks as he leans over to my desk and grabs a coffee in… Read more »

FRIDAY NIGHT FREEBIE: Signed Eversea and Forever Jack Paperbacks by Natasha Boyd
This is another set of books I got at Indie girl Con to give away on the blog. I’ve never read these, but they were very popular and they have great reviews. Up for grabs tonight are both books in this series, Eversea and Forever Jack, signed by the author, Natasha Boyd. ************************* EXCERPT My cold hands found Jack’s warm, smooth skin. He tensed under my touch, his eyes now slate grey in the darkened hall. Jack’s hand came up to my face, and his thumb brushed over my lips like when my tongue had accidentally found him. This time he pushed it against my lips, seeking entry. I hesitated a split second before sucking him into my mouth to taste the tang of his skin. Jack’s breathing hitched as he fed it to me, sliding it in and out against my tongue. His mouth grew taut, his nostrils flaring… Read more »
Tour Review: Declaration by Rachael Wade
Have you ever felt something for your best friend? Ever fall in love with a friend and you’re up close and personal to watching this friend fall in love with another? This book tells Carter’s side, on how he dealt with the humiliation and his broken heart after he watches his best friend, and love of his life, fall in love with another. It’s a story about how I found myself again, and the girl responsible for helping light the way. -Carter Declaration begins with Carter leaving his friends, school, and music ambitions in Seattle and moving to an island off the coast of Florida. He decides he needs a new start so he can come to terms with the idea of his best friend marrying a man who is not him and who, he feels, doesn’t deserve her. While living in this new town, he meets and comes to… Read more »
PRE-ORDER GIVEAWAY and BLITZ: BEND – An Anthology from The Erotica Consortium
This is a huge announcement! I am in a spectacular anthology with some of the best romance and erotic writers on the planet at this moment! Here’s details about this author group we call The Erotica Consortium. Last December CD Reiss and I (JA Huss, in case you don’t know me) decided to start a new author group that only had authors who write erotic romances. So each of us chose a few authors whose work we loved and whose talent we respected. I chose Ella James and Shay Savage and CD chose Andrea Smith, Alessandra Torre, KI Lynn, K Bromberg, and CC Gibbs. We decided we wanted a very small group – we have nine right now, and this is a good number for us. Small enough to get to know each other, large enough to make a difference. Since I’m like a super hyper book marketer, my… Read more »
$50 GIVEAWAY and EXCERPT: Perfectly Broken by Prescott Lane
EXCERPT Reed woke up in a sweat, breathing heavily, as if from a bad dream. But it hadn’t been bad at all. He’d been dancing with Peyton in Audubon Park, feeling her soft skin, tasting her lips, smelling the vanilla. He cursed the dream was over then looked outside, the moon shining brightly through his bedroom window. He thought about calling her and reached for his phone. He saw it was the middle of the night, so any call would have to wait. Then he decided he wasn’t going to call her at all. He’d be seeing her tonight at the engagement party — for the first time in 36 days. He flipped through the photos of her on his phone, landing on the one he loved the most, her resting her head on his chest, a small smile on her pink lips. He’d give anything to go back to… Read more »
NOOK GIVEAWAY and EXCERPT: Dreams of Desire by Cassie Wright
EXCERPT “There’s Jace.” He doesn’t have to point him out. There’s one guy there that’s clearly the alpha male, and that’s got to be him. I don’t know what I expected. A monster? A hulking beast? Someone crude, a caricature of a mob boss? Jace is beautiful. Beautiful in the way a black panther is gorgeous, sexy, and absolutely dangerous. Even from here I can tell he radiates menace, a promise of violence, though he’s doing nothing more then sitting back in an armchair, one booted foot up on the table before him, half listening as a beautiful girl talks to him, lips to his ear. He could be a model. His face is angular, his hair shaved down to a fine stubble, his cheekbones harsh, his lips soft. In the red light of the room I can see that he’s covered in tattoos, but they’re as beautiful as he… Read more »
Review: Lovelines by S. Walden
This is a new kinda book by Summer Walden. No, not that kinda book. Though yowza, Summer can write some sexy times. If you’ve read Summer before you’re used to teenagers. No teenagers here, hooray! Lovelines isn’t my normal kind of read, which is to say, Bailey & Reece are normal people. I have a fetish for alpha billionaires, not normal guys that work in marketing. But I have a thing for Summer’s writing, cause her men, swoon. So Reece who works in marketing it is. Bailey suffers from OCD. Real, debilitating OCD, not the fun, “OMG, I, like, have to eat all the yellow M&M’s first out of the bag. I’m so OCD.” The first couple of chapters are painful to read, because Bailey’s struggle is so vivid. Then she meets Reece. Reece who loves her, not in spite of her OCD, but including her OCD. Reece is…… Read more »
FRIDAY NIGHT FREEBIE: Tattoo by Cambria Hebert
Cambria – the super-star author of the Take it Off Series, has just released book #7 in this STANDALONE SERIES. You do not have to read these books in order. They are all different, yet related. And she’s agreed to put up a signed copy of Tattoo for tonight’s Friday Night Freebie! I had a bunch of stuff to take part in her release day blitz, so I’m posting an excerpt and a this graphic teaser too! EXCERPT I had to be in shock. There was a reason I wasn’t more afraid. There was a reason I wasn’t screaming and fighting to get out of Brody’s arms and away from this god-awful dirty, abandoned, completely creepy gas station. My body wasn’t getting enough blood flow, likely because all the blood was flowing out of me instead of throughout my veins. It was making me sluggish, slowing my response, and in… Read more »
GIVEAWAY and EXCERPT: Lost by Layla Hagen
EXCERPT When the speech starts, something about her voice is not right. But when I look up from the brochure, I forget about her voice altogether. Her eyes. I know that look in them. Haunted and lost. I sit up straight in my seat and tune in to her speech. I frown as I start to pay attention to what she says. She has some kind of notes in front of her, but she’s not reading them. I don’t think she’s saying what she’s written on them at all. She speaks of hardship, loss, and the ability to put everything behind through hard work. I have a hunch she’s referring to something more than what’s happening here today. Her porcelain skin gets paler with every word. Her eyes become glassy before long, and then she tucks a strand of black hair behind her ear. I’m sure as hell she wiped… Read more »
