Julie Mishler, An original poem and cover reveal

One More Chance By: Julie Mishler For one more chance Would you? Give up everything To hear his voice To see his face What would you give? For one more chance To change it all To fix the wrongs Make things right Could you forget the past? All the pain he caused? For one more chance Would you risk it all? To hear his laugh See his smile Can time heal? All that has been broken? For one more chance Would you sacrifice? To kiss his lips And whisper his name To feel his body Would it still feel the same? For one more chance What would you do? If you only knew Things would change He would be The man he said he was The man you feel in love with The man you have missed and longed for The man who held all your dreams In the palm… Read more »

Review: Very Wicked Things

Review: Very Wicked Things

Ok, I read Very Bad Things, book one in this series and loved it. I read it almost a year and half ago and I still remember the characters and plot. That tells me it was really good in my book. I was so excited to read this next book that I bumped it up my very LONG TBR list and it didn’t disappoint. You know you’re reading a good book when you can’t put it down and when you HAVE to, you’re counting the minutes until you can pick it back up. That was this book for me. I became a part of the Briarcrest world and I felt like I was living and breathing Dovey and Cuba’s relationship. It’s hard to categorize this book because there’s a lot that takes place in the pages. There’s angst, of god is there ANGST! Ilsa is a master writer of angst…. Read more »

Kelly Elliott has a HUGE surprise…

***WANTED BOX SET RELEASE*** By popular demand, the Wanted Series is being released in a box set edition with all 6 stories PLUS 3 short stories from the lives of the WANTED Gang in the future and the first 3 Chapters of Without You (Love Wanted in Texas Series). As I researched box sets, there was an interesting fact I kept coming across. Readers who have already read a series repurchase the series in order to have all the books in one location as our electronic reading devices fill up quickly from all those wonderful stories out there. In addition to the already published books, I decided to include three short stories (15,000 + words each) giving the reader a peek into the lives of some of their favorite Wanted Series couples after the series ended. The three-short stories are: Gunner and Ellie (WANTED), Jeff and Ari (SAVED), and Josh… Read more »

$50 GIVEAWAY and TEASER: Perfect Opposite by Zoya Tessi

$50 GIVEAWAY and TEASER: Perfect Opposite by Zoya Tessi

“Let go of me… right now.” I hissed
“I’m no good at following orders. Maybe you should try asking. Nicely.” “Hah! In your dreams!”
“OK. As far as I’m concerned, we can stay like this till tomorrow…” It didn’t cross my mind to reply, so I immediately began flailing around, doing my best to get free of his arms, but it was no use. He didn’t budge an inch and held me like I weighed nothing at all. Figuring out there was nothing I could possibly do to wrestle free, I let out a groan and sunk my teeth into his shoulder, biting down hard. “You crazy bitch!” he barked and threw me down on the bed below, making me bounce twice. I had a feeling that I wouldn’t come out of it well if he got his hands on me, so I clambered over to the other side of the… Read more »

$20 GIVEAWAY and EXCERPT: Tryst by Cambria Hebert

$20 GIVEAWAY and EXCERPT: Tryst by Cambria Hebert

EXCERPT I hadn’t had sex in six months. Six months. I was practically a born-again virgin. I mean, seriously. They say when you get married, your sex life goes down the toilet, but I didn’t know who “they” were, and I thought for sure my sex life wouldn’t go downhill until I was some old lady. I was not old. And I kind of wanted to punch “they” in the face. I’ll blame my aggression on sexual frustration. Weren’t men supposed to be a bunch of horn-dogs? In my experience, they sure were. My husband and I used to have sex all the time, but it slowly began to dwindle and then it pretty much fell off the face of the earth. But that was going to change. I was going to do something about it. The way I saw it, I could let my insides shrivel up from lack… Read more »

GIVEAWAY and EXCERPT: ASHER by Jo Raven

GIVEAWAY and EXCERPT: ASHER by Jo Raven

EXCERPT “What do you want?” Ash asks, his voice low and hard. Ah, there’s the anger I missed in his eyes. “To see you.” He sits down and looks away. I make myself move. I step to the other end of the sofa and sit down. I feel like I had when I played a theater part during elementary school. Stage fright. I will the words to come but there’s a blank forming in my mind where my thoughts should be. Seeing him from up close is making things worse. My brain is too busy taking in his image, his beautiful features, his strong body; having its usual short-circuit. He leans forward, dangling his hands between his denim-clad knees. His dark hair falls in his face, hiding his expression. I can’t take my eyes off his long fingers, and the fresh, red scar on his knuckles. Can’t help thinking he… Read more »

FRIDAY NIGHT FREEBIE: Signed copy of Beautiful Bastard by Christina Lauren

FRIDAY NIGHT FREEBIE: Signed copy of Beautiful Bastard by Christina Lauren

One-night stands are supposed to be with someone convenient, or wickedly persuasive, or regrettable. They aren’t supposed to be with someone like him. But after a crazy Vegas weekend celebrating her college graduation—and terrified of the future path she knows is a cop-out—Mia Holland makes the wildest decision of her life: follow Ansel Guillaume—her sweet, filthy fling—to France for the summer and just…play. When feelings begin to develop behind the provocative roles they take on, and their temporary masquerade adventures begin to feel real, Mia will have to decide if she belongs in the life she left because it was all wrong, or in the strange new one that seems worlds away. So my PA, Jana (and co-blogger Kristi!) went to the Chicago Author Event a couple weeks ago and they were nice enough to pick up some books to give away for the Friday Night freebie. And Jana LOVED… Read more »
