About BURN FOR ME:

A sexy category romance novella from Entangled’s Brazen imprint…

She’s the one fire he can’t put out…

Jamie Lansing has had it bad for firefighter Smith Grayson for as long as they’ve been friends. Yes, he’s ridiculously charming and she might stare a little too long at his abs, but his dirty-talking, rough-around-the-edges ways aren’t for her. Plus, she knows that as a serial dater, Smith isn’t the type to settle down. But then a terrible, fantastic, mind-blowing mistake leaves her body craving more than one night.

Smith Grayson has only ever had eyes for one woman in town–his best friend Jamie. But convincing her a relationship between them will work is next to impossible with her refusing to see beyond his past. But when she asks for a week of no-strings-attached sex to get him out of her system, Smith knows this is his one chance to prove he’s not just the man she needs in her bed, but the man she needs in her life.

NOTE: 10% of all release week sales will be donated by the author to the National Volunteer Firefighter Support Fund.

The more stories I read by Lauren Blakely, the more I enjoy her writing. This novella is just what I needed. After the last few weeks of work stress and life coming at me from every direction, losing myself in a quick, steamy read was the PERFECT escape for my mind and body.

You ever have that one hot guy friend that you secretly have the hots for, but are too afraid to act on it because you’re afraid of ruining the friendship? Jamie Lansing is a good girl, good friend, good sister, who acts properly and is sweet to everyone she meets. She adores her guy friend Smith, but considers him a player in town and who doesn’t want anything serious. After a night filled with lustful anticipation, the two give in to their desires and have an evening of passion.

Told in alternating POVs, the reader falls in love with these characters. The little tidbits that Lauren added to develop her characters further was such a delight. From playing MadLibs, to reciting poetry, to the pleasantries of a new puppy, I wanted more from these characters and wish this was a full length book instead of a novel. I connected with Jamie and felt her reluctance to want more with Smith…and I felt Smith’s perseverance to show Jamie he’s not the player, bad boy Jamie assumes he is.

The chemistry between Jamie and Smith is smoking. There’s nothing I like more than a good girl who unleashes her inner desires and enjoys a hard, fast, dirty fuck. The sex scenes in this short novel rival a full length novel and each scene is an added bonus to the story.

I’m definitely going to check out more by Lauren Blakely. And my fingers are crossed that we get more Smith and Jamie too!
