#Women.
I fuck them. I use them. I pay them off. I find another. My demands are never denied. My contracts are always signed. They submit to me. Willingly. Completely. Temporarily. This is how it's always been.
Until I saw that filthy tweet.
@VaughnAsher My bare pussy. Your tongue. #ThingsIThinkAboutToGetOff
"FilthyBlueBird" thinks she can tease me with hashtags and then hide behind a Twitter handle? She thinks I wouldn't be more than happy to #RockHerFilthyWorld? She's wrong.
Her online fantasy is about to collide with her public reality, and it's about to happen... now.

My last Take 2!
I wrote six EOBS’s for Social Media and some of them are epic. So I’m not going to rehash any of that stuff. You can read them in the novellas. But I do have one more thing to say about this series and it has to do with expectations.
I try to meet expectations and not meet them at the same time. I want readers to know what they are getting into, especially with the first book in a series. But I think I’ve made a name for myself by writing the unexpected.
Not many of my plot points are predictable, but if they are, you can bet I planned them that way. Taut has a predictable plot point. Until you read Guns and you realize it doesn’t. Follow had a predictable plot point as well. Until you read Profile and it’s doesn’t.
Pretty much everything about Dirty, Dark, and Deadly was unpredictable.
But I didn’t break any rules with these books and I think that’s just as important as being original. It’s a balancing act for authors. We need to meet and exceed expectations. You meet expectations by following the rules… stuff like Happily Ever After. Granted, mine are all Happily Ever After For Now’s. But that’s good enough for most people because they know I might have more story in me about these characters. And I do. For pretty much all of them, the Social Media world included.
So if you’re an old fan you’ve come to trust me to deliver a romance, but the way I get to HEAFN is a little unconventional. And maybe some people don’t like the unconventional methods I use (suspense, action, mystery) but if you look at my review ratings on Amazon, I think that a clear message that I should continue to do this.
So this brings me to my upcoming release, Three, Two, One (321) that will go on sale on January 28, 2015. It is a romance, but it’s not a conventional romance. It’s a love triangle, but it’s not a conventional love triangle. It’s a mystery and it’s filled with suspense and it has some action. But it’s also very erotic. And hopefully, romantic. In fact, I hope the romance is what is so unexpected in that book. If I did my job right you will forget about the mystery by the time you read the last sentence, and the only thing that will matter is the romance.
Even though 321 is pretty much the dirtiest story I’ve ever written, I’m not putting it into the erotica category. In fact, I might never put another book into the erotica category ever again. I didn’t put Social Media in erotica even though it’s also very erotic. And I don’t make these category decisions lightly. Because what genre I’m writing is important when it comes to reader expectations.

“Why’d you come in here?”
“I was…” I was looking for my money so I could leave. But this guy. These guys… they are pulling me towards them somehow. JD and his charm. Ark and his distance. And despite the fact that they take advantage of girls for a living, they feel very… vulnerable. It feels precarious. Like the whole thing might come crashing down at any moment. Like they are held together by some invisible thread. And not some mental connection or shared experience, either. Although I have no doubt they have all that too.
Held together by a thread that’s invisible because it’s nearly gone.
We are alike, then. Aren’t we?
Three people brought together by the early-morning rain.
Two of us clinging together, trying to stick it out. Ride the wave until it crashes, and then help each other up to start all over again.
One of us already dead. Still walking, but not living. Waiting to be saved. Or maybe wanting to be the one who does the saving.

ONE GIRL
Battered, barefoot, and huddled under a bookstore awning in the pouring rain, Blue only knows one thing. After fifteen months of captivity, finally… she is free.
TWO FRIENDS
Self-made millionaires JD and Ark are not out to save anyone when they stumble upon a wet and shivering girl one early Sunday morning. But when you sell sex for a living and salvation rings your bell… you answer the call.
THREE SOULMATES
After years of searching, love lifts the veil of darkness, and three people—with three very big secrets—find themselves bound together in a relationship that defies the odds.
Or does it?
Love. Lust. Sex.
This trinity might be perfection… but not everything should come in 3’s.
ON SALE 1-28-15

So I hope you fall in love with the 321 characters the way readers fell in love with Rook and Ronin, Ford and Ashleigh, Spencer and Veronica, Harper and James, and Vaughn and Grace. I hope your take-away from 321 is—a relationship is what you make of it. You can’t choose the people you love. It’s like a magnet. The force of attraction is either there or it isn’t. And when it is, it pulls you so hard, you slam together and form that bond, and nothign you do can stop it.
Thanks for stopping by the blog this week. I hope you enjoyed the Take 2 on all these books and characters!
