TOUR Review: Holding Strong by Lori Foster

TOUR Review: Holding Strong by Lori Foster

Kristi’s Thoughts… I need to begin with how much I loved, Loved, LOVED Lori Foster’s SBC series. I read them awhile ago, awhile ago meaning in paperback form, prior to my eReader. So I’ve been a fan for a long time. I was stoked to receive an ARC of this book and dove right in. Denver and Cherry are an explosive couple. If you’re a fan of insta-love and insta-lust, you will love this book. I think it was an instant pairing because I’m assuming in book one, there is build up, but since I didn’t read book one, I’m only guessing. I love an alpha man and Denver is about as alpha and controlling as they come. Cherry has a shady past and when that past resurfaces— Denver stakes his claim and wants to protect her from any harm. If I’m honest, this isn’t my favorite Lori Foster book,… Read more »

REVIEW: Hate F*@k:part one

REVIEW: Hate F*@k:part one

From the Inside Flap —excerpt–  With a thunk, I drop my forehead to the desk. Fuck. My. Life. I only wallow in self-pity for a minute. My boss is right. I can go home and knit, and at least if I’m there, my co-workers will be able to come and go as they please. It’s not like I’m being super productive or anything. I yank my bag out from under the desk, stick Ellen’s list of website fixes into the outside pocket, because those I can do from home, and slide on my oversized, extra-dark sunglasses. No way are those assholes getting a picture of my whole face. I don’t bother to say goodbye. I just power down my computer and head for the back staircase. There’s a gated backyard that leads to an alleyway, and I can dash across it into the back of the import/export shop across the way. From… Read more »

Giveaway and Happy Release Day Mia Storm! Getting Dirty is finally HERE!

Giveaway and Happy Release Day Mia Storm! Getting Dirty is finally HERE!

Dirty A poem by Blaire Leon If sex is dirty, why would I do it with someone I love? If sex is dirty, then didn’t we all come from the dirt? What if I like the dirt? What if I want to get dirty? What if I want to roll in the mud until I’m so fucking filthy that I’ll never be clean again? When twenty-five-year-old graduate assistant Caiden Brenner asked Blaire Leon how old she was, she said she was a senior. He chose to believe she meant in college. They connect over Lord Byron’s Don Juan and, as their conversations become increasingly thicker with sexual innuendo, Caiden finds himself obsessing over a totally off-limits undergrad who’s bold, beautiful, brilliant, and one of the most passionate poets he’s ever met. But it turns out Blaire hasn’t been totally honest. She’s the seventeen-year-old valedictorian of her high school class, taking courses at Sierra… Read more »

Stepbrother Romance… Yay or Nay? A review of Prick by Sabrina Paige

Stepbrother Romance… Yay or Nay? A review of Prick by Sabrina Paige

Just this weekend, there have been posts in reading groups I’m a member in all about stepbrother romances… and whether you love, like, tolerate or hate them. The ongoing posts about the popularity of these taboo books are evident in my Facebook newsfeeds and I have to admit, I really enjoy a good taboo stepbrother story. There’s nothing I love more than a good girl involved with a bad boy, add stepbrother to the equation and I can’t put it down, most of the time. Let me stress, I do NOT like, enjoy or read incest books. I just can’t do it, and I am one of the few who couldn’t finish Flowers in the Attic. I know, that series has a huge following, and many, many of my friends devoured those books when I was in high school. I just, NO, I can’t read those. However, add the forbidden,… Read more »
