gmteaser1Kristi’s Review:

I really enjoyed this story. It’s grasped my attention from page one.

Under my direction and guidance, women learn seduction techniques, how to achieve climax with and without a partner, explore physical gratification, and more…

Ahem… where do I sign up? This is a story about Brielle, a shy, beautiful woman wanting to seduce her best friend, but doesn’t know where to begin. She finds an ad for a Gentleman Mentor, who will, ahem, teach you all you need to know in the bedroom…and how to get what you want.

I enjoyed the banter between “Dom” and Brielle right from the get-go. The email exchanges were one of my favorite things in the book and I only wish there was more. Brielle thoughts and questions are on every woman’s mind…or at least crossed every woman’s mind at one point. Am I flirting correctly? How do I get a guy’s attention? So I really enjoyed the friendly, sexy and tempting banter between these two.

When “Dom” (or later Hale) and Brielle meet, their chemistry is instant, but he makes her work her ass out during each lesson. Pushing her out of her comfort zone, Brielle gains the confidence she was lacking while Hale tries to deny his growing feelings.

I really enjoyed reading this book. It was entertaining and I related to both characters easily. I’m glad Ms Ryan made both realistic. While I liked this story, I kinda was hoping for more. The plot and characters were great… but overall, if there were a few more details, more email banter, getting to know you scenes, I think the book would be stronger.

This book leaves you with knowing book 2 is coming…and I am looking forward to getting to know Reece a bit better in The Dominant.

Excerpt from The Gentleman Mentor, out 5/5/15:

“It’s just us tonight,” I whisper, fighting the urge to kiss her mouth.
“Where are the ropes? The whips? The chains?”
“You want ropes?” I ask, my tone hollow. Maybe I can’t give her what she needs after all.
“I don’t understand,” she says softly.
This is too real, too intimate, and she knows it. Her questioning blue eyes see everything. All my motivations are stripped bare; I don’t need to say a word. She was expecting something crazy, but all she’s getting is me. I want to pretend she’s mine for one last night before I have to release her.
I cross the room and stand directly in front of her, pushing my hand inside her coat to place it firmly on her waist and drag her close.
