Series: A 321 Spinoff

Published on June 2015

Genres: Adult Suspense, Contemporary, Romance, Romantic Suspense
Wasted Lust is a 321 spin-off, full-length, romantic suspense filled with lies, secrets, and the power of redemption by the New York Times bestselling author, JA Huss.

Sasha Cherlin died the night she let Nick Tate walk out on her for a life of crime. Her very essence was destroyed when they broke their promise to one another.

Nick Tate made his choice with her future in mind. He loved Sasha enough to know that leaving her behind was the only way to keep her safe.

Special Agent Jax Barlow understands the bond of love and he plans to use it to get justice. Nick and Sasha will do anything to rewrite their past. He's counting on that to bring them down.

Wasted Lust is a standalone book, BUT, you have to be willing to go along for the ride. The Sasha character has a long history in all my other books (she was twelve in those books, now she's grown up). And it's a parallel book to 321, so new story, new characters, but same timeline and the plots converge in the middle. No spoilers for 321 in Wasted Lust.

Where has summer gone? If your summer is anything like my summer, I’m sorry. See, I love summer. I love the beach and the pool. I love BBQs and ice cream. I love endless, lazy days with a good book. But real life got in its way this summer. I run a camp in my “real life”. I used to love it, but as its grown and with parents hovering over each and every day, the fun was sucked right out of it this year. But, it’s over for this season. (Happy Dance!) And for the most part, it was successful. It stressed me the f*#k out, but now I have a few days left before I prep for the school year.

I haven’t read much this summer. But I’m planning to highlight my favorite summer reads this week and next (with some giveaways too!). My favorite summer read? Wasted Lust-hands down. Yes, I’m friends with the author, but even if I wasn’t I would still call this my favorite read of the summer. Why? Well, it started back in January with a little NYT best seller called, 321. 321 is a top read for me; it was different, edgy, and took me on a ride that left me in tears. It surprised me. Wasted Lust is a 321 spin off and I think it surprised me, too.

I think I was expecting more suspense, more of a thriller/action packed book. Don’t get me wrong, it’s action packed and I couldn’t put it down once I started. But I got SO much more from this book, and that was the surprise. What I got was resolution for a girl named Sasha (who I’ve been rooting for since Taut) and a hot, good guy named Jax. It had the twists and turns that make JA such a stand out author, and it also has steamy and sexy. The pits were sweating and the tears were flowing. It was everything and more. OK, if I’m being honest, I wanted a little bit more of a cameo from Spencer. (I mean I am #therealmrsshrike)
