Filthy English (unedited excerpt) Chapter 1 Remi Plain and simple, this night sucked. Sadly, it was my honeymoon. I sighed heavily and gazed around Masquerade, an intimately lit London nightclub where everyone wore black domino masks, some elaborate and some plain, to hide their identity. A few die-hards even sported dark clothing with long, loose cloaks. Not me though. I’d gone modern with a slinky little number and three-inch heels, putting my height at nearly six feet. Yep, I’m the giant in the blue dress, towering over every girl and some guys at the bar. My top teeth dug into my bottom lip as I gazed around the smoky club, my eyes bouncing off random faces. Even in a room full of party people, music, and strobe lights, I was lonely. My groom was missing. That’s right. Review of Paper Princess by Erin Watt
Holy BeGeezus. This book. It’s so not young adult. Is it? But it’s so my type of book. It’s has everything I love in a NA story. Angst. Absolutely. Badass, hot, arrogant guys. Yep, try 5 of them. Sweet heroine with a backbone and spirit. Check. Did I mention angst? Oh, yeah, I did. How about a whole lotta steamy thoughts, wicked actions, addicting storyline… God, this book. I fought reading it for my own reasons, I really did. Then I was in a horrible book funk. Like I didn’t read a single word in two weeks. So I picked a random book from my ARC kindle library and went in blind. I didn’t even know what I was reading because it was a review copy from a promo agent. And it had no cover or title. About a few pages in I figured out what I was reading, and… Read more »
GIVEAWAY Cover reveal for Punk 57…by Penelope Douglas
Can we talk about this cover? This blurb? Because I am counting the days until I can read this. If you follow this blog, you know that I ADORE Penelope’s stories. Jared and Tate are a favorite couple of mine, and I remember reading Bully when it first released. While I’m a HUGE fan of the Fall Away series, I am SO excited to read this new book in September. Now, the cover… amazing. But the blurb… it has EVERYTHING I adore about a NA story. The only reason I want summer to be over is that it brings me closer to this book. Needless to say, this is my TOP anticipated fall read. Review: Lucky Ball by Lisa N Paul
I have such mixed emotions with this book. It’s the perfect book for me, in theory. I love the sweet romances most in life. I LOVED Logan in this story; his patience won me over. Wren, I get her anxieties. I understand her trauma in high school. I also thought relying on the Fortune Eight Ball was a great and unique aspect in romance books. (It’s almost like watching a Hallmark movie but on HBO, my FAVORITE kind of movie, thus favorite ingredients for a book.) The reason for the mixed emotions… simple. I couldn’t really connect with the characters. I tried, really I did, but the third person narrative just isn’t my favorite. I’d five star this book with I could really get 1:1 with these characters, but I just couldn’t get totally invested in the story. If you enjoy third person, this is a definite one-click for you!… Read more »

Paul Genre: Romantic Comedy Release Date: June 1, 2016 Blurb It’s all in the luck of the ball… Quirky yet adorable, Wren Jamison couldn’t make a good decision if her life depended on it. After all, the ball is never wrong. The sexy song-writing musician needs Wren to put her trust in him—not in the small screen of a children’s game. But just like any modern woman, Wren might prefer the dependability of the toy over the uncertainty of a man. So who will… Read more »
