Tour Review & Giveaway: Time of Possession by Jami Davenport

Tour Review & Giveaway: Time of Possession by Jami Davenport

Review: So when I saw this book circulating the blog tour sign-ups, I knew I had to read. For one, the name of this series is what caught my eye. If you know me on Facebook, you know that one of my book BFFs/Twinsie and I reference how we want to star in a realty TV show with hot lumberjacks (Lumberjacks Gone Wild)… and did I mention she’s from the Seattle area. So for that reason alone I knew I had to read this book. Another reason, hot football players. ‘Nuff said. I liked this book. It took me a bit to really get into it and connect with the characters, but once I did, it was a pleasant and fun read. I love a good hero in a story, and Brett is certainly book boyfriend material. Estie was the quintessential sweet, nice, and charming heroine that a reader… Read more »

Excerpt and Review: Black Rose by F.X. Scully

Excerpt: He presses our mouths together gently and my stomach catapults and flutters so much it feels like I’m on some kind of roller coaster ride. And as his tongue finally darts out to taste mine, I realize that I am. That all this time I have been. From the moment I saw him at the hospital to the second he came to my rescue out in the driveway. His strange behavior at The L, the way he’s been looking at me lately. It’s been one big long ride, leading up to this moment. The moment where my legs turn to butter and an embarrassing little moan escapes me and I suddenly realize not every ride is a good idea. Review by Leah Oh, how I have been waiting to get my hands on this story.  On Luke’s story.I’ve loved him since book one, and was dying for more from him in… Read more »

Blog Tour Review & Giveaway: Better as a Memory by Marilyn Baxter

Blog Tour Review & Giveaway: Better as a Memory by Marilyn Baxter

REVIEW: Better as a Memory is a fun, quick read that I enjoyed. It’s a tale of second chance romance between former college sweethearts. Tori and Max’s chemistry is apparent from the get go, which helps make this story a fast, quick and enjoyable read. The two characters not only have charisma, they have the book chemistry that makes me want to read about them more. We meet Tori first who is contemplating taking on Max as a client. Max is back in town after years of being away with a goal in his mind to get his inheritance and start building his own dream.  Throughout quick memories and fast dialogue, the reader learns quickly that there’s much more to this couple’s relationship-past and future. While I really enjoyed this story, a lot happens quickly, and what I missed was the character development and story hook that I think I… Read more »

Book Blast and Giveaway: I Love My Trilogy by Sabrina Lacey

Book Blast and Giveaway: I Love My Trilogy by Sabrina Lacey

Excerpt from book 1: I never thought I’d be the type of girl to answer a sex ad. They were gross, laughed at, ridiculously disturbing even. But then there are those posts tonight that cause my mind to question the masses, the ones that beckon me, like: “Use me like I’m him” and “I’m free of judgment – and in New York for only one night.” The latter one really catches my attention. Why am I looking? Because I am at the height of my sexual prime and even though my heart hurts from the loser boyfriend that just under two months ago ended our relationship without my consent, I want it. Sex. I want a man’s body on top of mine.  I want the pressure of his chest against me – the weight of him, the smell of him, on top of me. Behind me. Underneath me. Next. To. Me. I… Read more »

Review: USE by CD Reiss

Review: USE by CD Reiss

Review USE kills it from page 1. Okay, fine, it was on page 2 that I started highlighting. Fiona is missing Elliot and fantasizing about them meeting again. In her fantasy, they bump into each other in a coffee shop and he always takes the time to sit with her. A decidedly tame fantasy from a sex addict, and it guts me. This girl, her pain. She’s a mess and I can’t stop feeling for her. Parts of her past are revealed and I’m riveted. Did she create her environment or did her environment create her? There’s a triangle here, Deacon vs. Elliott. I see the appeal of both of them, I do. Yet… Elliot. There’s just something about him. Bits of Deacon and Fiona’s past are revealed and he’s been a lifeline for Fiona, I believe he loves her and would do anything for her. Yet I’m pinning for… Read more »

I’m having a really hard time keeping my hands off of you right now.” He says finally pulling a green apple out of the bag. Turning around, he says goodbye and heads towards the door as the second bell rings. My classroom is still empty and my hormones are on high Walker alert. “Why a green apple, Walker? Aren’t apples for teachers typically red?” I call out before he hits the doorway. Without missing a beat he spins around, arms braced on the doorframe, and I’m met with lust filled eyes.
