Tour Review: Picture Perfect by Elisabeth Grace

Tour Review: Picture Perfect by Elisabeth Grace

Picture Perfect was damn near perfect. It was exactly what I was looking for when I started reading it. It’s not too deep, but it draws you in with the first chapter and makes you not want to put it down once you start. This kind of book is my favorite… the kind where I’m smiling while reading and not realizing it until the hubs notices and says, “Good book?”. Picture Perfect is the second in the Limelight series, and the first book I read from this author, so you can read this as a standalone without confusion. Recently single Skye (daughter of a big-time mayor and possible candidate for Senate) finally goes out on a girls night with her friend to forget about her ex-boyfriend and is ready to start her next chapter in her life, beginning with her new career as assistant at a up and coming PR… Read more »

REVIEW and GIVEAWAY: The Warrior by Victoria Scott (Dante Walker Series)

REVIEW and GIVEAWAY: The Warrior by Victoria Scott (Dante Walker Series)

REVIEW Dante walker. Oh, how I love thee. You are an arrogant asshole, you are a demon at heart, you are the epitome of what every mother warns her daughters about. And that’s why I love you so much! You are perfectly flawed. You have a heart of gold. You are loyal and smart, and handsome, and willing to see beyond the superficial. Of course you have not always been like this. But even back in book one, I loved you. I loved your hysterical one-liners and your charm. Yes, you are charming. But I like this new Dante too. I like the fact that you’ve grown into an adult. A man, if you will. A man who has his priorities straight. Who is willing to let go of old preconceived notions and give in to what everyone around you have known for a long time. You are good. Victoria… Read more »

TOUR REVIEW: Tattooed Dots by Kimberly Knight

TOUR REVIEW: Tattooed Dots by Kimberly Knight

It was fate that I read this book… really, I’m serious about it being fate. I remember when this book released months ago and I added it to my TBR pile. A love affair on a singles cruise, sounds promising and fun. A unique twist in the ever growing indie book themes. Then one thing led to another, life happened and my ever growing TBR list, well, kept growing. The thing about TBR lists, they only seem to grow, never diminish. Last month I went to a book signing in NYC with one of my besties. My first girls weekend in over a year! Woo-hoo. It was a great time. After the signing while drin…I mean mingling in the hotel bar, my bestie and I met three amazing authors. Guess who one turned out to be? Yep, Kimberly Knight. After promising her I’d read her books weekly while keeping in… Read more »

Tour Review: Make It a Double by Sawyer Bennett

Tour Review: Make It a Double by Sawyer Bennett

What a pleasant surprise this story was! This is the first book I’ve ever read by Sawyer Bennett and it certainly won’t be the last. While this is the second in the Last Call series, it can be read as a stand alone. I’m actually about to dive into book one because the characters in this series are incredibly real, charming, and sassy. I want to know them better! This book is about Brody Markham, a quiet and anti-social yet hot, alpha male who walks around with a chip on his shoulder. We find out early on that he was just released from prison for killing a man while driving under the influence. He carries an incredible amount of guilt and truly believes he’s worthless. At times he’s arrogant, pissed off at the world -usually at himself even more, and is a jerk to those closest to him. Scorned by… Read more »

$25 GIVEAWAY and REVIEW: Fragile Line by Brooklyn Skye

$25 GIVEAWAY and REVIEW: Fragile Line by Brooklyn Skye

REVIEW Fragile Line was a really good book. I’ve seen this author’s books around but this is the first one I’ve picked up. First of all, some things I noticed in this PDF edition that I appreciate enough to point out in a review… I love that the PDF format was “book size” and I love that the description was in the front of the book so I knew what it was about when it came time to read it. Just little things I notice and make a difference to me personally. I’ve read some of the reviews. I do that after I finish to see if I agree with what other people are saying and in this case, yeah, no. I don’t agree with most of them. This book was not billed as romance as far as I can tell. Which is just fine with me, that’s not why… Read more »

EXCERPT I was walking toward the class, head down, when I heard Jimmy call my name. I looked up to see him jogging toward me. “Hey, I was hoping to catch you before class,” he said with a shy smile. I looked up at his sandy hair, which was a little too long as usual, and sweet face, and smiled back. I really missed being around him. “What’s up?” I asked. “Look, I heard a bit about what’s going on with you, and I talked to Jess. I just wanted to tell you that I’m sorry.” “For what?” I asked, totally surprised. “Because… Read more »

TOUR REVIEW: Frenched by Melanie Harlow

TOUR REVIEW: Frenched by Melanie Harlow

C’est  tres bonne! This is the first book I’ve read by Melanie Harlow and it won’t be the last. Frenched is my favorite kind of story to read; it’s smart, funny, emotional, and very sexy. I found myself smiling through entire chapters, unable to stop reading. The story captures your interest immediately and you instantly bond with the characters in the book. We meet Mia just days after her fiancé dumps her only a week before their mega-wedding of the year is supposed to take place. She’s devastated, humiliated, and heart-broken. With the encouragement from her two best friends, and the threat of a visit from her mother, she decides to go on her would-be honeymoon to Paris. When arriving in Paris, she remains in a sour mood as she is alone and cannot escape the overwhelming amount of romance in the city of lights. Everywhere she looks she sees… Read more »
