Review & Excerpt: The Darkest Torment by Gena Showalter

REVIEW: Confession of a book junkie… After I read Twilight in 2008, I became OBSESSED with all things paranormal. Starting in 2009, I was the lady who was at my local Barnes and Noble every Tuesday, waiting for the newest paperback release. I read everything PNR back then…everything. I read the whatever the paranormal goddesses wrote; including all the BDB novels and spinoffs—Zsadist lover forever!, the Sookies, Immortals After Dark, Midnight Breed series, Night Huntress (love me some Bones), Demonica series—sex demons—yes, please, the list goes on and on. One of my favorite PNR series, is the Lords. The Lords of the Underworld world captivated my life for years! Book club topics were filled with the love stories of these demon carrying studs from Budapest. Talk about an alpha hunk with a heart of mush…gah, I love them all! I took a break from paranormal romance a couple years ago,… Read more »

RELEASE DAY & Excerpt: Endurance by Georgia Cates

RELEASE DAY & Excerpt: Endurance by Georgia Cates

BLURB:   I’m a doctor. Mobster. Killer. My hands are covered in filth. I don’t have the right to touch anything as clean and pure as Ellison MacAllister.   I distance myself … always remaining obscure, composed, restrained. Careful to never allow my eyes to linger too long. Careful to hide my interest. Careful to keep my burning desire buried beneath the surface.   I do it for her—suffer in silence—because it’s what is best for the woman I love. And she has no idea.   She’ll be initiated as a Fellowship member soon. One of my mafia brothers will go through endurance so he’ll earn the right to claim her. Make her his wife. Kill. Me. Slowly.   I’m running out of time. Only a month remains before she’s beyond my reach forever. I want to taste her. Share sleepless nights. Ride out her storm. I want to give… Read more »

$100 AMAZON GC Release Day Giveaway! Trust is LIVE

Today we have the release day of Trust by Jana Aston! Check out the release day festivities and grab your copy today! Exclusive Excerpt: I need to remember to be careful with this girl. She’s so… unsure of herself. She seems self-reliant, yet there’s this undercurrent of doubt that I don’t yet understand. She walks across the studio and pulls a denim jacket from a small closet and shrugs into it, then picks up her bag and slings it over her shoulder. “Are you ready?” I nod and follow her out, watching as she locks the door then tugs on it to make sure it’s locked. We take the elevator down in silence then hit the sidewalk outside before she asks if we’re walking or driving. “Driving,” I tell her, nodding to the parking spot I got in front of her building. I unlock the car and open the passenger… Read more »

But I think you and I may be on the same page here. So here it goes. Would you like to get out of here and continue this in my room?” Wait, what was that? Sorry, I couldn’t hear the question over the sounds of Jackpot baby! Right now, I am going to admit that I’m about to make some impromptu decisions. I only live once. And I deserve this. I deserve to get banged beyond belief by this totally hot guy. If he wants a ride, I swear to all that’s mighty I am going to give it to him. $100 GIVEAWAY and REVIEW and EXCERPT for FLING, by Jana Aston

$100 GIVEAWAY and REVIEW and EXCERPT for FLING, by Jana Aston

Jana Aston has a way of telling a story! Fling is a wonderful weekend distraction. Sandra is a quiet administrative assistant to the ever handsome and brilliant Sawyer (Right, Wrong series #2). She is captivated with Gabe, her boss’s partner, but refuses to let him or anyone else know her dirty thoughts and lust filled feelings. While in a meeting, her work bestie passes her a sex quiz to fill out to occupy their time until the corporate meeting ends. Sandra fills it out and goes about her business. Until she realizes it lands in her crush’s hands! With a nostalgia 80’s movie feel to this novella, I found myself smiling from ear to ear as Sandra navigates her wants and feelings in the workplace and in the bedroom. I enjoyed getting to know Gabe more in this story and liked his banter with Sawyer. Gabe, like so many of… Read more »

Filthy Rick EXCERPT REVEAL by Raine Miller

Filthy Rick EXCERPT REVEAL by Raine Miller

CHECK. OUT. THIS. EXCERPT…. Come to momma… I cannot wait to read this book! PROLOGUE CALEB  MY father always said I would know when the right woman came along. He was such a wise man. When it happened, I didn’t even question it because the process was so effortless. I just fell into her . . . because my heart knew her right away. Knew she was the one for me. I’d known her for years actually. She came to Blackstone Island to live with her grandmother after her parents were killed in a car crash. A devastated fifteen-year-old trying to adapt to a new life in a new place, trying to find where she fit in to a world so different from where she’d come—a forty-square-mile resort island off the Massachusetts coast where her grandmother ran the household at Blackwater, the family ancestral home. Should have known of her,… Read more »

EXCERPT: Down Shift by K. Bromberg

Meet Zander & Getty in DOWN SHIFT – the newest stand alone in the Driven Series by K. Bromberg! Excerpt I force myself to look away because . . . well, because he’s a stranger. In my house. Naked. And oh my God, something is wrong with me, because I’m not running and calling 911 like I should. When his chuckle subsides, he brings his head back down, so I can see the tears in his eyes from laughter. “That thing is my cock, and since this is my bathroom and you seem to be attempting to seduce me in my house, I don’t think you have any right to tell me what to do.” And with that, he leans a hip against the counter and folds his arms across his chest, eyes locked on mine and one eyebrow lifted. Everything else is left hanging out there in the wind. “Your house? Seduce… Read more »

Filthy English Review

Filthy English Review

My Review of Filthy English… If you follow my reviews, you know I’m a BIG Ilsa Madden-Mills fan. In fact I still remember where I was when I finished Very Bad Things many years ago. To say I devour her books is a gross understatement. I have count downs until I can get my hands on her novels…then I have to pace myself so that I savior each word. Dirty English was a top read for me last year. There was something unique about Declan and Elizabeth’s story that captured my attention and made me want more. In this installment, we get more than a taste of Dax Blay, Declan’s twin brother. And what a feast it is! Loosely based on Romeo and Juliet, this tale could be called a second chance romance, filled with addicting chemistry that would make any apothecary’s head spin! Remi is on her honeymoon without… Read more »

Excerpt Reveal for Filthy English by Ilsa Madden-Mills

Excerpt Reveal for Filthy English by Ilsa Madden-Mills

Filthy English (unedited excerpt) Chapter 1 Remi Plain and simple, this night sucked. Sadly, it was my honeymoon. I sighed heavily and gazed around Masquerade, an intimately lit London nightclub where everyone wore black domino masks, some elaborate and some plain, to hide their identity. A few die-hards even sported dark clothing with long, loose cloaks. Not me though. I’d gone modern with a slinky little number and three-inch heels, putting my height at nearly six feet. Yep, I’m the giant in the blue dress, towering over every girl and some guys at the bar. My top teeth dug into my bottom lip as I gazed around the smoky club, my eyes bouncing off random faces. Even in a room full of party people, music, and strobe lights, I was lonely. My groom was missing. That’s right. Hartford Wilcox, Jr., aka Mr. Nice Guy at Whitman University in North Carolina,… Read more »
