Friends to Lovers Books!

Friends to Lovers Books!

OK, themes in New Adult books these days? I’ve done them all. Vampires and Werewolves.-check. Step-brothers/sisters.-check. Bad boy with the heart of gold.-check. The jock and good girl.-check. Teacher/student.-check. Lately I’ve enjoyed the friends to lovers books. My top read so far this summer that is friends to lovers, With a Twist by Staci Hart. We all have those “go-to” book friends. Well, one of my “go-to” friends PMed me a few weeks ago and said, check out this book. It’s sweet, and steamy, and I think you’d like it. I devoured it. This is my favorite kind of book. One that is sweet and just takes you away into another world. I completely fell in love with these characters. Completely. ALL of them. This circle of friends are series gold. I want to read each and every one of their stories. (And because I’m a stalker, I totally checked… Read more »

Wasted Wednesday? Not here!

Wasted Wednesday? Not here!

Where has summer gone? If your summer is anything like my summer, I’m sorry. See, I love summer. I love the beach and the pool. I love BBQs and ice cream. I love endless, lazy days with a good book. But real life got in its way this summer. I run a camp in my “real life”. I used to love it, but as its grown and with parents hovering over each and every day, the fun was sucked right out of it this year. But, it’s over for this season. (Happy Dance!) And for the most part, it was successful. It stressed me the f*#k out, but now I have a few days left before I prep for the school year. I haven’t read much this summer. But I’m planning to highlight my favorite summer reads this week and next (with some giveaways too!). My favorite summer read? Wasted… Read more »

SPECIAL GIVEAWAY and My Trip to the Louvre

SPECIAL GIVEAWAY and My Trip to the Louvre

Summer is slow in the book world. Both as a blogger and an author. Kristi is busy running a huge summer camp (she’s a rock star like that) and I’m busy writing and going to signings. So we’ve been slacking. But I still have so many things to give away from my trip to Europe with Jana Aston so I can manage one post a week I think! Last week I gave away a Harrod’s Prize Pack, and congrats to Maureen for winning that! You’ve been emailed! So this week I’ve got some more pics – this time our brief trip to the Louvre. That place was so big I felt a little (OK a lot!) overwhelmed. I’ve been to the British Museum before this trip, so when I went back I knew exactly what I wanted to see. Mostly the Ancient Near-East stuff that I researched so heavily for… Read more »

July Updates: A Giveaway, a Cool Trip and Pre-order for Sexy

July Updates: A Giveaway, a Cool Trip and Pre-order for Sexy

THE PERFECT TRIP! Jana and I went to London and Paris for nine days this month. This was a trip I owed her for all her help last summer with the Social Media series. It was her original idea, after all. And isn’t it cool that a year later the bundle, Social, made the USA Today bestseller’s list two days before we left to celebrate. I haven’t had a real vacation in a very long time and last year I spent the entire summer working sixteen hour days to make sure I got all six Social Media serials out every two weeks. So this trip was loooong overdue. I’ve attached a few of my favorite moments below, so be sure to check them out. ~*~*~*~*~ ~*~*~*~*~ ~*~*~*~*~ What’s Coming Next? SEXY – A brand new standalone novel MEET FLETCHER NOVAK Male Stripper (and a whole lot more!) Sexy doesn’t sell…… Read more »

Wow, this blog is almost three years old! We have put up a lot of posts, promoted a ton of authors, and done thousands of dollars in giveaways over that time. And now we’re gonna do one more! Our Facebook page has grown slowly over the years and finally we have reached the 10K likes milestone! I have a whole pile of signed books that I’m gonna giveaway for this. Plus, I will throw in a surprise Pink Package from my stash. 😉 I won’t tell you exactly what will be in it, but it will be MORE THAN ONE signed book from me. So last year my assistant, Jana, gave me a great idea for a series and that series turned into Social Media (which, BTW, made the USA Today Bestseller’s list last week – one year later) and I wrote six books about kinky asshole movie star Vaughn… Read more »

Giveaway and Release Day Blitz for Hard to Let Go by Laura Kaye

Giveaway and Release Day Blitz for Hard to Let Go by Laura Kaye

“TOP PICK! Kaye brings her Hard Ink series to a spectacular conclusion that successfully wraps up the overarching mystery and brings closure to her compelling characters. Kaye really nails it with this awesome book and series!” ~RT Book Reviews EXCERPT: Taking a deep breath, Beckett knocked on the door. No answer. He turned the knob, and the door opened. “Go away,” came a strained voice. Beckett poked his head through the opening. Kat sat in a ball in the corner, her legs pulled up to her chest, her arms hugging herself tight. “Aw, Jesus, Beckett. Really?” Her face was splotchy and her eyes watery, though he didn’t see any tears. Ten-to-one she was going through some adrenaline letdown right now, too. Which no doubt made it all worse. That shit could fuck you up even when you were used to how it left you feeling drained and shaky, by how all… Read more »

$100 GC GIVEAWAY and EXCERPT: Up in Smoke by Tessa Bailey

$100 GC GIVEAWAY and EXCERPT: Up in Smoke by Tessa Bailey

EXCERPT: As if her thoughts had made him appear, Connor strode into the courthouse. Her pulse started beating double time, her stomach muscles tightening. Good Lord, the man was a fucking panty dropper. She’d only been away from him for a few hours and it felt like years since she’d experienced his presence. In jeans and a fitted gray T-shirt that molded to his muscles like her hands itched to do, he personified confidence and authority. Hot, rugged male. His gaze connected with hers immediately and darkened. She thought back to that morning when he’d dressed in the early morning light, his abs flexing as he pulled the shirt over his head. His erection barely contained by his boxers. She’d never been one to beg for anything, but she’d been seconds from offering him her mouth. Pleading for the privilege of sucking him off. Conner shook his head at her… Read more »

Giveaway and Exceprt: Beautiful Little Fool by K.K. Hendin

Giveaway and Exceprt: Beautiful Little Fool by K.K. Hendin

EXCERPT Sitting at her desk a little later that evening, Cedar did the same thing she did every night—something nobody knew she did, and that she would never even think about telling anyone. She Googled herself. Well, she didn’t actually Google herself as much as she logged into a secret account and checked the Google alerts for that day. Being Cedar Reynolds was a full time job, and that included making sure that all the PR about her was positive. Some people said no publicity was bad publicity, but Cedar was not one of those people. Yes, bad publicity made people talk about you, but some things didn’t need to be publicized. And luckily, they weren’t. Morgan had tweeted about their meeting today, which Cedar thought was kind of odd, but she was nothing but singing praises of Cedar and the gallery so it was okay. Talking about how strong… Read more »
