September’s Top Three Reads…

September’s Top Three Reads…

I loved this month’s reading. LOVED. IT. I got everything I wanted…the escape from reality, the feels, the tears, the laughs and the HEAs. Each of my picks this month are different, yet they all made me feel. They all made me NOT want to put the book down. Sexy by JA Huss: Fletcher is just a hot and he knows it guy, who works the crowd and pleases not only the ladies, but himself while doing it! He’s arrogant, but sweet. He’s what you think is the ultimate jerk, but you kinda fall in love with him. He has the moves and you want to follow each and every one of them. Tiffy. She’s something. I wanted to shake her silly then slap the crap outta her, but in the end, I kinda fell in love with her, too. There’s a great chemistry between these two characters and the… Read more »

Guest Review: The Air He Breathes by Brittainy C Cherry

Guest Review: The Air He Breathes by Brittainy C Cherry

This book is garnering A LOT of attention. In fact it sat at #1 on Amazon this weekend. Every one I know is reading this book, and well, I’m a bit scared to. I hear it has ALL the feels. So I’m going to wait and savor it next weekend. But my good friend Michelle read this book. She told me it is her top read of 2015. And for someone who reads hundreds of books a year, that right there is saying something. Here is Michelle’s review of Brittainy C Cherry’s newest release.  Michelle’s Review: The Air He Breathes by Brittainy C. Cherry What happens when you have nothing because everything was taken away from you? How can you be filled with anything when you are simply left with nothing? Tristen Cole had nothing, he was left empty. A man broken. Elizabeth knows the same loss, the same feeling of being… Read more »

GIVEAWAY and Review: Hollywood Dirt by Alessandra Torre

We are so excited to have Michelle’s review of this highly anticipated book by my #1 #girlcrush. IF you know me, you know that I’m in love (yes, truly in love) with AT (my nickname for Alessandra). Alessandra created Brad DeLuca!!! ’nuff said! You don’t know Brad DeLuca? Seriously, no? Then you MUST read her Innocence Trilogy and get to know one of my all time favorite male book crushes. He’s hot. He sexy. He’s alpha. Did I mention HOT? Click here for one of my favorite posts… I am convinced this series is based on her real life and Brad is really her husband. So I interviewed him. It’s all here. But enough about Brad and my love for everything Alessandra. Here’s Michelle’s kick ass review. REVIEW by Michelle: What happens when Hollywood evades a small southern town? In this contemporary romance by Alessandra Torre, Hollywood Dirt delivers the… Read more »

Review: Before We Were Strangers by Renee Carlino

Review: Before We Were Strangers by Renee Carlino

This book has gotten a lot of attention. And it deserves it. I was lucky enough to win a copy of this story, and what a gift it was. First, Renee’s writing is magical…it’s almost lyrical, and from the minute I began reading, I was transported to New York City and was whisked into an amazing journey. I felt it. I cried it. My heart burst into tiny little pieces and then slowly got put back together. And when it got put back together, a piece of my heart will always belong to Matt and Grace. Second, I love second chance romances. If you know me, you know I love playing the “What if” game. I daydream about all sorts of things, have conversations with my distant friends, fantasize about what I’d do when Chris Hemsworth asks me to dance with him, and think about stories I wish I could… Read more »

Friends to Lovers Books!

Friends to Lovers Books!

OK, themes in New Adult books these days? I’ve done them all. Vampires and Werewolves.-check. Step-brothers/sisters.-check. Bad boy with the heart of gold.-check. The jock and good girl.-check. Teacher/student.-check. Lately I’ve enjoyed the friends to lovers books. My top read so far this summer that is friends to lovers, With a Twist by Staci Hart. We all have those “go-to” book friends. Well, one of my “go-to” friends PMed me a few weeks ago and said, check out this book. It’s sweet, and steamy, and I think you’d like it. I devoured it. This is my favorite kind of book. One that is sweet and just takes you away into another world. I completely fell in love with these characters. Completely. ALL of them. This circle of friends are series gold. I want to read each and every one of their stories. (And because I’m a stalker, I totally checked… Read more »

Michelle Review’s Before We Were Strangers by Renee Carlino

Michelle Review’s Before We Were Strangers by Renee Carlino

Michelle New is back with another MUST read! Pre-order is a MUST! See Michelle’s Review below. The ARC was through the publishers via NetGallery. This blurb was probably one of the most intriguing and captivating blurbs I’ve stumbled across. The moment I read it, this book became an obsession. I needed to read it, I had to. Matt has the career most photographers would kill for. Fifteen years, an esteemed position working for National Geographic and a Pulitzer Prize photo adorning his wall. But a career isn’t everything. Divorced and standing still in a city that moves at the speed of light, Matt is lost. Then one day it happens. He sees her. Grace. It has been fifteen years since he said ‘see you later’ and she’s just there. But then she’s gone. A moment where their eyes lock, recognition strikes and old feelings being to stir. Suddenly Matt’s world… Read more »

I’m Sorry and YOU have to READ this…Verite by Rachel Blaufeld

I’m Sorry and YOU have to READ this…Verite by Rachel Blaufeld

OK, let’s get this out there now. I’ve been a sucky blogger. I’ve been even a bigger ass of a reader. My summer has slipped away from me and I have been locked away in camp hell. Yep, camp. It’s occupied all my time. I have barely read a thing this summer. And I miss it. I miss talking to my friends online about books. I’m the one usually recommending… and now I’m PMing all my book whores to ask what to read. This summer has been a busy one for me, professionally and personally. And while I sit and think about school starting in a handful of weeks, preparing my fall curriculum while dealing with over 400 campers and 100 staff members, I take a few deep breathes and turn to a book–I mean, I need an escape, right? Well camp is almost over and I called out today… Read more »

Kindle GIVEAWAY and TOUR REVIEW: Relinquish by M.N. Forgy

Kindle GIVEAWAY and TOUR REVIEW: Relinquish by M.N. Forgy

REVIEW: This is not a Cinderella story. It’s like a dark, twisty wanna-be chick lit book. When Charlie leaves her foster family, she doesn’t look back. When her foster sister joins her, they head to Las Vegas, looking to start a new life. Money goes fast and Charlie finds herself doing the impossible, becoming a whore. By being a whore, she can breathe a bit easy. Her pimp helps pay the basic necessities. But when she meets a mysterious, handsome man, she can’t deny the attraction her body feels towards him. Landon is heir to THE finest escort business around. He can’t help himself when he’s around the new girl in town. A chance encounter leaves to a whole new life, for both Charlie and Landon. I liked this story. It was an easy read, good for the beach or pool. It’s a bit dark, harsh in that it easily… Read more »

Happy Release Day JA HUSS! Wasted Lust is releasing TODAY!

Happy Release Day JA HUSS! Wasted Lust is releasing TODAY!

Jana’s FIVE Star Review My friends are writing glowing reviews for Wasted Lust. Tears, they say. I can’t finish my review without crying, they gush. Well, fuck. I can’t compete with that. I’m not a crybaby Smurf. There are no tears allowed in the sphere. Wasted Lust, in my mind at least, has been in the making since Slack. God. Slack. Let’s revisit, shall we? It was late 2013. I’d recently shown up on Julie’s doorstep, looking for Ford. “Hey, is Ford home?” “Who the hell are you?” “I’m Mrs. Ford Aston, Who the hell are you?” Oddly, this ended with me becoming Julie’s assistant. It doesn’t make sense to us either, in case you’re wondering. Anyway, that’s how it started and shortly after that Slack released. “Julie. This girl. She needs a book.” Visions of Sasha’s future babies were already dancing in my head. “Yeah, I don’t know about… Read more »
