GIVEAWAY Cover reveal for Punk 57…by Penelope Douglas

GIVEAWAY Cover reveal for Punk 57…by Penelope Douglas

Can we talk about this cover? This blurb? Because I am counting the days until I can read this. If you follow this blog, you know that I ADORE Penelope’s stories. Jared and Tate are a favorite couple of mine, and I remember reading Bully when it first released. While I’m a HUGE fan of the Fall Away series, I am SO excited to read this new book in September. Now, the cover… amazing. But the blurb… it has EVERYTHING I adore about a NA story. The only reason I want summer to be over is that it brings me closer to this book. Needless to say, this is my TOP anticipated fall read. Review: Lucky Ball by Lisa N Paul

Review: Lucky Ball by Lisa N Paul

I have such mixed emotions with this book. It’s the perfect book for me, in theory. I love the sweet romances most in life. I LOVED Logan in this story; his patience won me over. Wren, I get her anxieties. I understand her trauma in high school. I also thought relying on the Fortune Eight Ball was a great and unique aspect in romance books. (It’s almost like watching a Hallmark movie but on HBO, my FAVORITE kind of movie, thus favorite ingredients for a book.) The reason for the mixed emotions… simple. I couldn’t really connect with the characters. I tried, really I did, but the third person narrative just isn’t my favorite. I’d five star this book with I could really get 1:1 with these characters, but I just couldn’t get totally invested in the story. If you enjoy third person, this is a definite one-click for you!… Read more »

GIVEAWAY and Happy RELEASE DAY for Lucky Ball by Lisa N. Paul

Title: Lucky Ball Author: Lisa N. Paul Genre: Romantic Comedy Release Date: June 1, 2016 Blurb It’s all in the luck of the ball… Quirky yet adorable, Wren Jamison couldn’t make a good decision if her life depended on it. When poor choices forced Wren to question her judgment, fate—in the shape of a small black ball—stepped in and took over. That orb became her lifeline. Now, years later, every move she makes revolves around her Fortune Ball. Every. Single. Decision. Kissing Logan Enders isn’t a strange twist of fate—the ball tells her to do it. And she does. After all, the ball is never wrong. The sexy song-writing musician needs Wren to put her trust in him—not in the small screen of a children’s game. But just like any modern woman, Wren might prefer the dependability of the toy over the uncertainty of a man. So who will… Read more »

My new favorite New Adult book… Undecided by Julianna Keyes

My new favorite New Adult book… Undecided by Julianna Keyes

I picked Undecided up on a total whim. It was suggested by Amazon after I was looking at another book. I’m not going to lie, it caught my eye because I thought it may be about a triangle. (I secretly love a good triangle book when I’m in the mood.) It is NOT a love TRIANGLE story. I repeat, it’s not a triangle love story. What it is, is a PERFECT combination of charming characters, angst int he best way, and witty banter throughout this new adult story. When I started the first chapter, I couldn’t put down. I was hooked. No. Seriously, I literally couldn’t put this book down. I loved every word. I loved each and every character (from Nora to Crosbie to the secondary characters I grew to love). I loved the setting (college romance is the BEST) and plot (second chance at doing better in school… Read more »

Review: Mr. Perfect by JA Huss

Review: Mr. Perfect by JA Huss

I don’t normally review Julie’s books here, but I can’t help it. I absolutely fell in love with this story. I hope you will go and one-click it if you haven’t already. Mr. Perfect is the perfect book to read these days. It’s filled with wit, charm, steamy sex, and a whole lotta feels. Once I started it, I couldn’t put it down. Everything around me became a blur as I soaked up this story with a smile on my face.   To be honest, I haven’t been in the mood for an ugly cry read or a story that makes me think and try to figure out what is going to happen. I’m busy. I have a whole lotta crazy work going on on top of being a mom and wife. I read to escape the daily grind. I read to forget the craziness that surrounds me and to… Read more »

But in my defense, it’s a very small fight. Her lips press together and her hands fly up to my chest and push, but it just drives me even crazier. I know I should stop, but just as I’m about to back off and apologize, her mouth opens. My tongue slides in as she teases me with hers. I reach for her silk blouse and pull it apart, exposing the pretty pink bra as her flimsy tie holding the kimono shirt together unravels until the entire front is hanging wide open. “I… Read more »
