But I do have one more thing to say about this series and it has to do with expectations. I try to meet expectations and not meet them at the same time. I want readers to know what they are getting into, especially with the first book in a series. But I think I’ve made a name for myself by writing the unexpected. Not many of my plot points are predictable, but if they are, you can bet I planned them that way. Taut has a predictable plot point. Until you read Guns and you realize it doesn’t. This series started out as a novella for The BEND Anthology with the seven other Erotica Consortium writers. If you’ve been reading me for a while, you know what happened. If you’re new, the book was banned by Amazon for violating “content guidelines”. Whatever that means. But regardless, my little contribution to that book was a very convoluted story that set up two new characters—James and Harper.
