BE SURE TO ENTER yesterday’s After The HEA Giveaway about Rook & Ronin! WANT TO VIEW the Ford and Ashleigh Pinterest Board? CLICK HERE. Wow, Ford Aston blew into the world of Rook & Ronin and never looked back. He appeared in the second book, Manic, as some sort of potential girlfriend stealer. Ronin hated him, Spencer ignored him. But Rook was utterly transfixed by his mere presence in the room. Sure, he wanted Rook for himself, but Ford has principles. And Ford is loyal to a fault. And that led him to heartbreak. He wanted nothing more than to drive off into the sunset and never look back. Unfortunately for Ford, it was snowing that night he left town and he ended up stuck in his childhood neighborhood of Vail, Colorado as he waited out a blizzard. He meets Ashleigh that night too. Alone in her broken down car,… Read more »

Meet the Player: Spencer Shrike
THIS IS THE WEEK!!! We are spotlighting MY FAVORITE BOOK BOYFRIEND, ever! This week during the blog hop, four blogs are focusing on the novella, Bomb, and Guns: The Spencer Book, by the talented author, JA Huss. Make sure to enter our FACEBOOK GIVEAWAY on FRIDAY! Meet the Player: I have a soft spot in my heart for Spencer Shrike. I first met him in book 1, Tragic, and once he makes his appearance, I fell hard for this bad boy. A guy comes in who catches my eye. Not because he’s hot, even though he is hot, but because from the minute he comes through the door he’s watching me. He starts walking towards me and once the counter is out of the way, it’s hard to miss the fact that he’s a biker. He’s got the tell-tale biker boots on and they sound off a manly thud on… Read more »
Who’s That Girl: A Look at Ashleigh from Taut; The Ford Book (Rook and Ronin Spinoff)
This week for our weekly BLOG HOP, we are taking a look at Slack and Taut…and that means a whole lotta FORD. I know there’s a ton of Ford fans out there… so this is gonna be a great week recapping these characters. Today’s stop is all about ASHLEIGH… Who’s That Girl? Ashleigh Li is desperate. Stranded in the middle of a blizzard with her three month old daughter, she has no choice but to accept the handsome stranger’s help. It also tells a lot about Ashleigh, she is a good read of character. She, like Ford, is highly intelligent and wise beyond her twenty-three years of age. Ash maybe broken and lost, but she is still one of the strongest characters I have ever read. I loved her determination, openness and willingness to help Ford, even when she was at one of her lowest points. Make sure to stop… Read more »
Happy ONE Year Anniversary to Guns by JA Huss
Any one who knows me, knows I love Spencer Shrike with a passion. I claimed him as my top book boyfriend over a year and a half ago… and one year ago today, Guns: The Spencer Book released. Julie gave me an ARC on my 28th birthday and I cried. I cried a lot through this book; because her characters became real to me. I fell in love with #theteam and wanted to be a part of their world. I wasn’t ready to say good-bye. The Rook and Ronin series and spin-offs also led to an online group of ladies, Julie’s street team, who became a family of friends throughout this series. I continue to interact with these ladies on a daily basis, many who I chit chat with on the phone, send funny texts, or simply PM. We are a close knit group of friends, all who came together… Read more »
FIFTY SHADES OF FORD GIVEAWAY
I’m gonna fly into Chicago this weekend so I can watch Fifty Shades with my BFF and personal assistant, Jana Aston. But since Fifty has had such a huge impact on the smexy book community, I wanted to have a spectacular giveaway to celebrate while I’m gone. I guess this book is not for everyone but no matter–it changed books. For the better, in my opinion. Because before Fifty came out erotica readers were in the closet. Now it’s all over the place. Hell, there’s no way I’d have written a book like 321 before erotic romance went mainstream. So I owe a lot to EL James. And besides that, I like the book. I like Ana most of all. And I think those emails were clever and fun. So here’s the giveaway… Up for grabs are: Coach Tote/Purse Signed copy of 321 by JA Huss Signed copy of Taut… Read more »
GIVEAWAY: End of Book Shit Ford and Ashleigh
Slack and Taut. Most people didn’t get the titles until a year later when I wrote about it in another End of Book Shit. But everything I do in a story has a purpose and these titles are no exception. Slack is Ford going off the rails as he tries to deal with Christmas Eve. He takes a few hits for his team, even for an outside affiliate from his teen years, called Merc. And he meets one of the most memorable characters I’ve ever written. The twelve-year-old La-Femme-Nikita-in-training, Sasha Cherlin. Slack is a deep book. It got a lot of mixed reviews when it came out because Ford was not a very likable guy in this book. He’s struggling with who he is, what he wants, and how he can get there. He’s not with a girlfriend, so it’s not really romantic. But he forges a new friendship with… Read more »
FRIDAY NIGHT FREEBIE: The BOMB of all Giveaways!
EDIT: I’m posting this early this week because I’m out of town for Indie Girl Con and I don’t want to rely on scheduling to make sure the contest runs properly. Ends Sunday at Midnight MST. Tonight is the last giveaway for my new release BOMB: A Day in the Life of Spencer Shrike, so I’m really gonna make it count! This prize is huge, and since it’s so big I do have a mandatory entry. I don’t usually do the mandatory entry, but I figure I’m justified for this one. But just so we’re all on the same page, I’m gonna explain why I’m asking you do to this. If you have a Facebook page, not a personal page, but a book blog page or some other type of “business or community” page, you know Facebook has pretty much stolen all your “LIKES” right out from under you…. FRIDAY NIGHT FREEBIE – Double Feature Giveaway
I released a new book this week so naturally I hog the Friday Night Freebie when that happens, but something else also happened this week – two things actually, but one is a giveaway so you’re gonna wanna hear that. Last month I joined a new author group – I’m already part of Indie Inked, and those girls make appearances on this blog a lot because, well honestly, they are all rising stars. LP Dover, Ella James, Cambria Hebert, Heidi McLaughlin, Alexia Purdy, AO Peart, Anna Cruise, Amber Garza, Cameo Renae, Melissa Andrea – to just to name some of them. There are like 20 of us I guess. But you may notice that we don’t all write in the same genre. So it becomes hard to cross promote another author’s work because my fans might not want to hear about young adult books, or paranormal books, or fantasy etc…. Read more »
