$20 GIVEAWAY and EXCERPT: Tryst by Cambria Hebert

EXCERPT I hadn’t had sex in six months. Six months. I was practically a born-again virgin. I mean, seriously. They say when you get married, your sex life goes down the toilet, but I didn’t know who “they” were, and I thought for sure my sex life wouldn’t go downhill until I was some old lady. I was not old. My husband and I used to have sex all the time, but it slowly began to dwindle and then it pretty much fell off the face of the earth. But that was going to change. I was going to do something about it. The way I saw it, I could let my insides shrivel up from lack… Read more »

FRIDAY NIGHT FREEBIE: Tattoo by Cambria Hebert

Cambria – the super-star author of the Take it Off Series, has just released book #7 in this STANDALONE SERIES. You do not have to read these books in order. They are all different, yet related. And she’s agreed to put up a signed copy of Tattoo for tonight’s Friday Night Freebie! I had a bunch of stuff to take part in her release day blitz, so I’m posting an excerpt and a this graphic teaser too!  EXCERPT I had to be in shock. There was a reason I wasn’t more afraid. There was a reason I wasn’t screaming and fighting to get out of Brody’s arms and away from this god-awful dirty, abandoned, completely creepy gas station. My body wasn’t getting enough blood flow, likely because all the blood was flowing out of me instead of throughout my veins. It was making me sluggish, slowing my response, and in… Read more »

I trained mine on his chest. He trained his on Honor. “Drop the gun,” I demanded. “I’ll shoot her before you even pull the trigger,” he said around a sick smile. “Run,” I told Honor. When I didn’t hear the scuffle of rushing feet, I yelled, “Run!” I heard her then, retreating away from us. Lex pulled the trigger. The sound of a bullet discharging from his weapon filled the air around us. Then he swung the gun at me and squeezed off a shot. I dove to the side and shot… Read more »

REVIEW: Torch by Cambria Hebert

REVIEW: Torch by Cambria Hebert

I liked it. I definitely liked it, I’m glad I read it and I highly recommend it. Let’s start with what I liked: I really enjoy the hero. He isn’t overdone, overrich, overperfect or any of those other irritating things that he could have been. He was just sweet, sexy, protective, strong, and so so steamy. His character felt real, and I loved that about this book. I can totally see the guy being protective of his truck (but letting her drive it…swoon) and I like how he doesn’t flaunt his achievements. I adore that he took her to meet his parents. I also really liked Katie. She’s a great heroine, and she isn’t stupid, whiny or weak. The mystery was relatively well done. A few of the clues, such as the tv broadcast were a bit too obvious and shoehorned in, but since I was reading this for… Read more »
