REVIEW and GIVEAWAY: The Warrior by Victoria Scott (Dante Walker Series)

REVIEW and GIVEAWAY: The Warrior by Victoria Scott (Dante Walker Series)

REVIEW Dante walker. Oh, how I love thee. You are an arrogant asshole, you are a demon at heart, you are the epitome of what every mother warns her daughters about. And that’s why I love you so much! You are perfectly flawed. You have a heart of gold. You are loyal and smart, and handsome, and willing to see beyond the superficial. Of course you have not always been like this. But even back in book one, I loved you. I loved your hysterical one-liners and your charm. Yes, you are charming. But I like this new Dante too. I like the fact that you’ve grown into an adult. A man, if you will. A man who has his priorities straight. Who is willing to let go of old preconceived notions and give in to what everyone around you have known for a long time. You are good. $25 GIVEAWAY and REVIEW: Fragile Line by Brooklyn Skye

$25 GIVEAWAY and REVIEW: Fragile Line by Brooklyn Skye

REVIEW Fragile Line was a really good book. I’ve seen this author’s books around but this is the first one I’ve picked up. First of all, some things I noticed in this PDF edition that I appreciate enough to point out in a review… I love that the PDF format was “book size” and I love that the description was in the front of the book so I knew what it was about when it came time to read it. Just little things I notice and make a difference to me personally. I’ve read some of the reviews. I do that after I finish to see if I agree with what other people are saying and in this case, yeah, no. I don’t agree with most of them. This book was not billed as romance as far as I can tell. Which is just fine with me, that’s not why… Read more »

Can’t it be traced?” Caleb shook his head. “Not this one.” He glanced up at her. “Do you have one?” Ava pulled her phone out of her backpack, and Caleb cursed under his breath. “It’s not on,” she said. “It doesn’t matter.” He grabbed the phone. “I could take out the battery, but they’d still know this was our last location.” Caleb thought for a moment then grabbed Ava’s hand, turning to walk quickly down the block. “Where are we going?” she asked. GIVEAWAY and EXCERPT: To Know Me by Marcy Blesy

EXCERPT “Is this for me?” I ask as Ty stands in the center of the clearing with a yellow rose in one hand. “No. It’s for that grandma who’ll be passing this area in about ten minutes. I’m just practicing my delivery.” He’s so cute when he’s being sarcastic. I take the rose. In an instant I am shocked back to the day of Laura’s funeral. Everyone in her sixth grade glass brought roses to the cemetery to lay upon her grave, yellow ones, her favorite color. “Why aren’t you smiling?” Ty asks. “Did I do something wrong?” “N…no.” “Your hand is shaking,” he says coming over to my side. “Sit down.” He points to the picnic table. “Mae, if you don’t tell me anything I won’t ever be able to help you. I want to help you. I know what it’s like to need help. There’s a lot you… Read more »
