$50 GIVEAWAY and EXCERPT: One, Two, Three… by Elodie Nowodazkij
EXCERPT The shortcut to the lake from our home is a dirt road that isn’t well lit, but I know the way by heart. I hurry down the path, tuning my iPod to Chopin’s happier music. But I can’t drown out Mama’s voice. It resonates in my head. It’s my fault! I know she’s wrong because she’s not the one who killed him. I did. If only I didn’t get into an argument with him in the car. If only I had warned him about the truck. I bite back a sob and rip off my knee brace to walk even faster. At first, my knee is stiff, but at least I can extend my leg much better now. Seeing the lake calms me down, soothes me. This place is always crowded in the summer, but on this crisp September night, there’s no one. The lights surrounding the area flicker,… Read more »
GIVEAWAY and EXCERPT: Messenger by Laury Falter
He strode to me and crouched at my hip. His shirt was already off and the nearness of his well-built chest made it a challenge to stop myself from glancing at it. To my astonishment, he seemed not to notice my internal plight, not even the tremble that shook me when he tenderly took my chin and turned it toward him. “You’re healing nicely,” he observed, concentrating on my forehead. “Mm-hmm.” It was all I could muster. This was the closest we had ever been. His lips were no more than a few inches from me and drew my attention. “I don’t think you’ll even scar.” When I didn’t answer, I felt a shift in his presence and my eyes darted up to find him staring back with his striking blue-green eyes. We froze in place. Only our chests rose and fell, and they did it more rapidly the longer… Read more »
Cover Reveal: Pretty Instincts by S.E. Hall
Who is a fan of S.E. Hall? Well she has a new book coming out and it looks great. Check out this exclusive excerpt… EXCERPT: He rubs his chin between thumb and forefinger and considers me, but in a classy, eyes above the neck kind of way. This time the right brow lifts in contemplation as he slides his tongue back and forth across that enchanting bottom lip. This guy- women worldwide would pay top dollar but for the chance to watch him do anything, Algebra even; trust me. And I’ve learned another telling habit of his, I’m cataloguing strictly in case he does end up on the bus. Left eyebrow up is playful and joking, right brow means serious and analyzing. “Why don’t you let me try this, since you suck at it? Cannon Blackwell, not a hitchhiker.” He offers his right hand. “And you are?” … Read more »
REVIEW and GIVEAWAY: The Warrior by Victoria Scott (Dante Walker Series)
REVIEW Dante walker. Oh, how I love thee. You are an arrogant asshole, you are a demon at heart, you are the epitome of what every mother warns her daughters about. And that’s why I love you so much! You are perfectly flawed. You have a heart of gold. You are loyal and smart, and handsome, and willing to see beyond the superficial. Of course you have not always been like this. But even back in book one, I loved you. I loved your hysterical one-liners and your charm. Yes, you are charming. But I like this new Dante too. I like the fact that you’ve grown into an adult. A man, if you will. A man who has his priorities straight. Who is willing to let go of old preconceived notions and give in to what everyone around you have known for a long time. You are good. Victoria… Read more »
GIVEAWAY and EXCERPT: Day Human Prince by B. Kristin McMichael
“What’s wrong?” she asked. She looked over his shoulder and quickly around the room, but didn’t see anything. “We need to dance our way out of here,” Devin replied quietly, while still spinning them in circles. “Just follow my lead.” Nessa wanted to ask more, but Devin dipped her down suddenly with one hand. Pulling her back up, his fist pressed against her back, now holding an arrow he grabbed from an assassination attempt. No one saw the invisible arrow, but Devin still held onto it. After a few more quick spins that didn’t allow Nessa to ask more questions, yet brought them five feet closer to the exit, Devin caught a second arrow from a different assassin. The first assassin was still waiting. Even the assassins didn’t see their own arrows. As they were within ten feet of leaving, Nessa finally protested. “Devin, what is going on?” she asked,… Read more »
$25 GIVEAWAY and REVIEW: Fragile Line by Brooklyn Skye
REVIEW Fragile Line was a really good book. I’ve seen this author’s books around but this is the first one I’ve picked up. First of all, some things I noticed in this PDF edition that I appreciate enough to point out in a review… I love that the PDF format was “book size” and I love that the description was in the front of the book so I knew what it was about when it came time to read it. Just little things I notice and make a difference to me personally. I’ve read some of the reviews. I do that after I finish to see if I agree with what other people are saying and in this case, yeah, no. I don’t agree with most of them. This book was not billed as romance as far as I can tell. Which is just fine with me, that’s not why… Read more »

I hope you enjoy it, this is book four in her YA series, Stories About Melissa. EXCERPT I was walking toward the class, head down, when I heard Jimmy call my name. I looked up to see him jogging toward me. “Hey, I was hoping to catch you before class,” he said with a shy smile. I looked up at his sandy hair, which was a little too long as usual, and sweet face, and smiled back. I really missed being around him. “What’s up?” I asked. “Look, I heard a bit about what’s going on with you, and I talked to Jess. I just wanted to tell you that I’m sorry.” “For what?” I asked, totally surprised. “Because… Read more »
RELEASE DAY EXCERPT: Trapped by Ella James
Purchase on Amazon Purchase on B&N EXCERPT I felt like the world had been ripped from underneath my feet. I was floating, weightless, like the steam that surrounded us, my only anchor Nick’s lips moving hard on mine. I kissed him back as hard as I could, my hands first on his broad shoulders, then his strong arms, and when I ran out of air I pulled back gasping. Nick was half an inch away, cradling my face between his hands and pressing kisses on my cheeks, my chin, my nose, my neck. Moving down my throat, heating me inside, and I was going to explode. My hands didn’t stay by my side. I just couldn’t keep them there. Neither could he. We didn’t hit the ball out of the park, but we definitely made it past first base. I remember thinking, as I kissed him, and he kissed me,… Read more »
