trans Feature & Follow #119
The Feature & Follow is hosted by TWO hosts, Parajunkee of Parajunkee’s View and Alison of Alison Can Read. Each host will have their own Feature Blog and this way it’ll allow us to show off more new blogs!

When did you start blogging?
I started this blog September 27, 2012  :)  But I have a host of other blogs and websites.  This is my first book blog though.

What is your favorite part of book blogging?
Pretty covers!  No, really – just finding new books to love.

What is your favorite book(s)?
I am a SF junkie – the Takeshi Kovacs series (Altered Carbon, Broken Angels, and Woken Furies) by Richard K. Morgan are all my favorite books.  But I also love me some paranormal romance.

What has been the best thing that has happened to you because of book blogging?
Meeting other cool book loving people.

Q: Activity! Who do you want to be? If you could choose any character from a book. What do you think that character looks like and what do you have in common?

I’d choose to be Karou from Daughter of Smoke and Bone and Days of Blood and Starlight.  I just finished re-reading DOSB and then immediately read DOBS and it was FANTASTIC!  I love it.  Karou is strong and powerful and relentless.  She’s just awesome.  I cannot wait to write these reviews because there is so much to talk about.  :)

I picture Karou with her aquamarine hair (of course) and slim, like a dancer. She’s got a lot of courage and doesn’t give up easily – I think I share those characteristics with her – I am relentless when I want  something and will work night and day until I get it.

Jackie’s Bookbytes has a nice image of Karou up at her blog, but I don’t know about the copyright of that image, so I’ll just post a link.

I actually found another image – Laini Taylor’s husband is an artist and he’s got some images of Karou at his website.  This is just one of them I found:

Omg I forgot about Karou! She is my favorite too . I’ve had that picture on my computer for a long time , way before I read the book. I had to share it because I think it’s beautiful but I don’t remember where I got it from .

She’s just beautiful in those images. I haven’t read the series yet, but I’ve been meaning to. I’ve heard so much about them I don’t think I’ll be able to resist much longer…

One of my favorite books (haven’t read the second one yet) but no way would I want to be Karou. It’s just so sad…but she’s tough. Tougher than me, that’s for sure! Old follower.
