Julie’s Top Ten Books She Resolves To Read In 2013
WOW – I have such a long TBR list I can’t even believe it, but here’s the top ten on my list right now.  These books are one’s I want to read for personal reasons and not just for blogging reasons.

The Host by Stephanie Meyer – This one has been on my TBR list for a few months already and I honestly thought I would’ve read it by Thanksgiving.

The Hydrogen Sonata by Iain M. Banks – I should be reading this right now, in fact.  Again, I’ve put this one off for way too long.  I wish I had so many more hours in the day, it kills me that there is so little time for reading long, complicated Culture books by Banks.

Black Dagger Brotherhood series by H. M. Ward – This series was recommended to me recently and I bought it up right away and started reading.  I swear, if I didn’t have books I have to read for reviews coming up, I’d stay in bed and read this non-stop.  So really looking forward to the WHOLE series in 2013!

The rest of The Experiment in Terror Series by Karina HalleI have read two and a half of these books and have the third book, Dead Sky Morning, on my Fire right now.  I keep looking at it longingly every time my carousel twirls past.  i WILL finish these books in 2013.

Trapped by Ella James –  This one is kinda cheating because I have a review scheduled for it in January, so I have to read it.  But I want to read this one for personal reasons, not for the tour spot.

The Raven Boys by Maggie Stiefvater – This has been on my desk, in hardcover, no less, for weeks.  I want to read it, but I’m so freaking swamped with writing and other more adult books, that it keeps getting pushed aside.

VAIN by Fisher Amelie -I totally forgot about this book and then found it just now on my GR list, and then bought it immediately.  I’m a little impulsive, but it has a good look it it, so maybe I’ll get started on this soon.  Sometimes all you want is a quick read, right?  One that holds your attention and let’s you pass the day away in your imagination.  I hope this book is one of those.

Hover by Melissa West  – I read Gravity and wasn’t sure the whole way through the book if I liked it or not.  I still haven’t manged to write the review, even though the book is sitting right here in front of me.  But by the end I had definitely decided that I would read the second one, probably as soon as it comes out.  I don’t know. there are a lot of issues I have with the book – mostly about world building, but her ending was a very well crafted hook, so I’m in.

The Dresden Files by Jim Butcher – all TWELVE FIFTEEN of them!  – They count for two in this list, so I’m done here.  I’ve been hearing about Harry Dresden for years and have never managed to pick the first book up.  But this is the year, the year I break into and complete the entire Dresden Files series.  I swear.

You have some really nice picks on your list! I love both the Black Dagger Brotherhood series and the Dresden Files series – and there are actually more than 12 books out :)

    Here’s my TTT post.

    Happy New Year!

The Black Dagger Brotherhood series is one of my favorites! TEAM ZSADIST! haha. I also Loved THe HOst, it’s very well written and I’m really excited for the movie! I’m planning to read The Raven Boys this year too. Happy reading!

I really want to get started on The Host – I never read Twilight (I know, probably the only female in the book nerd world who did not) but I’m totally on board with almost any book with aliens!

      Thanks for stopping by!
