Stacking the Shelves #10

May 26, 2013 Uncategorized 6

Stacking the Shelves is a weekly meme hosted by Tynga’s Reviews.  Stacking The Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks!

I’m totally cheating with Tragic because I wrote it, but I also bought it!  So screw it!  It gets in my STS this week!  I’ll just say right now, I give it five stars…It’s on sale for 99 cents today and tomorrow so you can also pick it up:)

The Fifth Wave was all hyped up on the blogs and I’m a total SF junkie, especially anything with aliens, so I bought this one too.  I’ve already read it, but haven’t had time to properly review it, and I think it deserves a proper review, so I’ve put it off.  (Loved it, though)

Madeline Sheehan is like my Indie Author Idol.  She’s crass and loud and she says FUCK a lot (like me).  So I automatically like her for those things, but I’ve heard so much about this Undeniable story I just had to pick it up.  I’m not quite done with it though, so review is coming.

Descent is a novella prequel to Hidden Wings by Cameo Renae, an author friend of mine. This book sounds awesome and it’s all about angels and demons, which I love.  So I cannot wait to get to this little novella.  The next book in this series, Broken Wings, is out next week I think.

I’m reviewing The Disappearing Girl for Heather Topham Woods this summer, so she gifted me this copy. Heather is an awesome writer and if you haven’t checked out her new adult paranormal romance First Visions, you should. It’s very good.

Cassia Leo is another friend, I seem to know every author on the blog these days.  But Cassia is tearing up Amazon right now with this series, she’s on fire.  I reviewed the first book in this series, Relentless, a while back, now book two, Pieces of You is up.

It’s no secret that I love Anna Cruise, I’ve reviewed her other two books here, It Was You and If I Fall.  She gifted me Maverick Friday or yesterday, I can’t remember. And like all her books, once I start, I can’t stop.

Brina Courtney’s Cryptid Tales series is well-loved and she just put out the omnibus and is touring this week with Rockstar Tours. I reviewed the first book, Reveal, and this Wednesday I’ll review the second one, Capture.

Touching Melody is a new adult contemporary from RaShelle Workman.  It sounded different than some of the other new adults on the tour circuit, so I decided to review this one over the summer.
INK was a NetGalley grab and it has some kind of multimedia stuff attached to it, so I thought I’d check it out.

You might recall that I also have a young adult blog called Clean Teen reads, so I do all my STS posts together now.  I got both the Confession books for review from YA Bound. I’ve already read them.  In fact, I read them in like one day, back to back. I really liked them, but I have a lot to say about the bad boy in this series, so that will happen at the end of June on Clean Teen Reads.

Both of these books were author requests for review on Clean Teen Reads. I’ve reviewed the first book in the Fields of Elysium series and LOVED it, so AB asked if I’d like to read Valley of Darkness, and of course I said, yes!

Elsker has a Thor’s Hammer on the cover, so that’s pretty much all I need to know!  Just kidding, sorta.  My teenage son’s name is Odin, so I’m a fan of the Norse stuff.  This review is in August I think.
Well, that’s it for me this week, Peeps!  Make sure to pick up TRAGIC, I swear, it’s pretty good. Plus I got this cool giveaway going on!  :)
