Since A LOT of people have been asking here is the scoop on how this book fits in with my Rook & Ronin series:Ford first appears in Rook and Ronin #2, Manic. He has a bigger role in Panic, R&R #3, and then he has a novella, called SLACK. This TAUT book is only FORD. It's not really part of the R&R series, as that plot has all been sidelined for this one romance book.

I kneel down in front of her legs and she moans again, so I get back up and go to the basket of essentials I asked the concierge to provide in the bedroom basket. There’s two black silk scarves in there and I bring them both over to her, setting one on the bed, and holding the other up to her face. She watches carefully. “I don’t want you to come until I tell you to, understand?”
She nods. “Yes,” she says as she tries to stay in control.
“You’re never gonna last, Ashleigh.”
She laughs. “I’m sorry, you—I just—Ford, just looking at you makes me come. I can’t help it.”
I shake the scarf. “Which is why we need this for now. I’ll take it off in a little bit, but for now, you need it. Don’t you agree?”
“Yes.” She smiles up at me and I wonder if putting it on will make her release even quicker than leaving it off.
“Oh, for fuck’s sake. Just try your best.” I tie it around her eyes and let the long ends drape over her shoulders with her dark hair. I kneel down and her moaning starts immediately, I reach up and pinch her nipple again and this elicits a real whimper. A pain whimper and not an orgasmic one.
Round one to Ford.
I let go and part her legs, then lift them up and push her knees into her chest. Her scent is so erotic, I have to stop and breathe it in. It’s sweet and intoxicating. “Hold your legs open, please,” I ask her in a soft growl that betrays my hungry desire.

My parents bought a minivan which we picked up in LA and my dad was going to be stationed in Charleston, SC. He decided a family road trip was in order starting in Disneyland. The Hoover Dam, Grand Canyon, OK Corral, Six Flags & Uncle in Dallas, Family in AL, and then on to South Carolina. By the time we got to Charleston my older brother and I thought we were dead and I was sure glad to get out of the minivan. Being the younger kid I sleep on the floor. LOL No fighting in that minivan knowing my father.
But looking back on that trip know I would not give nothing for those memories.

We go on road trips quite often. Not sure if I can label any of them as “the best”, but one of my favorites was a few years ago when we drove to Southern California from Seattle. I remember sitting in the passenger seat with my laptop, writing a blog post about the trip. My husband was driving. At some point the sky turned so spectacular with the sun setting and highlighting in beautiful hues the scattered around clouds that I had to write about that. It was as if watching a play with constantly-moving-and-shape-changing clouds, the flocks of birds flying around, and the sun as actors. It was amazing.

I think my favorite though is when my husband was graduating from OCS (think bootcamp) and I finally got to see my husband again. My dad and I drove from Seattle to Pensacola, FL. Best road trip woulhave to be when my cousin, boyfriend and brother decided to drive to the Outer Banks and go camping. This decision was made at 1am and we drove all night. By the time we got there everyone had fallen asleep, even the driver.We wrecked into a sand dune and then ended up camping where there was only cold water and a trillion sand spurs.. My best road trip was about 10 years ago when my friends and I decided to go to Niagara Falls one night because we were bored and because they hadn’t been there before. There wasn’t much to do because it was pretty late by the time we got there so we crossed the border to the U.S. for something to do and ended up having McDonald’s then realized we really couldn’t do anything there either because it was around midnight and we didn’t have a lot of money so we crossed back to Canada and decided to head home. Then my friend made a wrong turn on the highway and we ended up downtown Toronto!! We eventually made it home around 4:00am. It was an eventful night!!
