TAUT: The Ford Book
Series: ROOK and RONIN Spinoff
Published on January 20th 2014 Genres: Adult, Contemporary, Erotic Romance, Romance
TAUT IS A STANDALONE NOVEL - you do NOT have to read any of the Rook and Ronin books first.
Ford Aston is known for many things. Being an emotionless, messed up bastard, a freakishly smart social outcast, and a cold, domineering master who keeps "pets" instead of girlfriends.
And after Rook broke his heart, he plans to keep it that way.
Ashleigh is known for nothing, and that's exactly what she's got going for her. She's broke, stranded in the mountains with a three month old baby, and Ford Aston is screwing with her head.
And she plans to mess with his right back.
It's a coy game at first, filled with flirting, and innuendo--but Ford soon realizes something is not quite right with Ashleigh. In fact, something is seriously, seriously wrong and the closer they get to their final destination, the closer Ford gets to the truth.
One night of devastation, self-loathing, and emptiness turns into the best thing that ever happened to Ford Aston. But one day of in-your-face reality threatens Ashleigh's whole existence.
Since A LOT of people have been asking here is the scoop on how this book fits in with my Rook & Ronin series:
Ford first appears in Rook and Ronin #2, Manic. He has a bigger role in Panic, R&R #3, and then he has a novella, called SLACK. This TAUT book is only FORD. It's not really part of the R&R series, as that plot has all been sidelined for this one romance book.
I kneel down in front of her legs and she moans again, so I get back up and go to the basket of essentials I asked the concierge to provide in the bedroom basket. There’s two black silk scarves in there and I bring them both over to her, setting one on the bed, and holding the other up to her face. She watches carefully. “I don’t want you to come until I tell you to, understand?”
She nods. “Yes,” she says as she tries to stay in control.
“You’re never gonna last, Ashleigh.”
She laughs. “I’m sorry, you—I just—Ford, just looking at you makes me come. I can’t help it.”
I shake the scarf. “Which is why we need this for now. I’ll take it off in a little bit, but for now, you need it. Don’t you agree?”
“Yes.” She smiles up at me and I wonder if putting it on will make her release even quicker than leaving it off.
“Oh, for fuck’s sake. Just try your best.” I tie it around her eyes and let the long ends drape over her shoulders with her dark hair. I kneel down and her moaning starts immediately, I reach up and pinch her nipple again and this elicits a real whimper. A pain whimper and not an orgasmic one.
Round one to Ford.
I let go and part her legs, then lift them up and push her knees into her chest. Her scent is so erotic, I have to stop and breathe it in. It’s sweet and intoxicating. “Hold your legs open, please,” I ask her in a soft growl that betrays my hungry desire.
She obeys and I have to pinch her again to keep her focused.
She’s not gonna last another minute, so fuck it. We might as well get this one over with so we can move on. I lower my mouth to her pussy and she gets the kiss of her life as I suck on her clit.
She comes immediately. She gushes into my mouth. Her whimpers and moans are not about pain, even though I’m squeezing the shit out of that nipple. Her whole back buckles and her thighs clamp down on my head as her fingers fist my hair.
I push her legs apart forcefully and caress her inner thighs for a few seconds before pulling back and standing up. “You could’ve put off the next two spankings for quite a while if you held it in, but it’s too late now. Bend over the bench, Ashleigh. That’s two spankings for me and one orgasm for you.”
She whines as she pulls herself up from the bench and then kneels down, her hands behind her back, her face turned to the side. I straddle the bench again and pull her face closer to my crotch. Her breath is hot against my dick, even through the thick fabric of my trousers. “Do you know what number we’re on?”
“Spread your legs this time, Ashleigh.”
She does, no hesitation at all and before she’s even in position my left hand pushes her face into my dick and my right hand smacks her hard on an upswing. It catches her pussy and both cheeks this time and she yelps, but her hands stay put at the small of her back. Her breath comes out in short gasps against me. My fingers dip inside her folds and she’s dripping from her last explosion. I push two fingers inside her and she moans.
“You forgot to count, Miss Li. Let’s try it again.”
I smack her again and this time as soon as I’m done she says, “Three.” I don’t give her a chance to think, just swat one more time. “Four.”
I lean down to her back and bite her shoulder blade and then stand up, still straddling the bench, and release the button and unzip my pants. “How many orgasms have I given you since we met, Ash?”
“Um…” She knows what’s coming, so she takes a few seconds. “Four. No, five. You talked dirty to me this morning and that was not my fault.”
I sit back down and whisper in her ear. “How many have you given me?”
She takes a deep breath and lets it out slowly. “None,” she whispers back.
“I’d like one now. Open your mouth.”

We went to Myrtle beach for summer break and wow the party was awesome.
I don’t have a crazy trip to speak of other than the fact that in 2005 when I was pregnant I traveled some through the state of TN and parts of Ohio for bowling tourneys on my last trip I went into labor but refused to have my child somewhere unknown to me and some how managed to wait to get back to Martin to have her! Thank you for the giveaway!
The summer between junior and senior year, my best friend and I drove with her family to Texas. We stayed there for 6 weeks, then my mom and sisters arrived to drive us back. (She was living with us, because her mom and step-dad were moving to Florida) On the trip back to California it took us nearly 2 weeks to drive, because we stopped everywhere.
I was a teenager and my father was in the military. We have lived four years in Okinawa, Japan without coming home to the states for any visits during that time. My parents bought a minivan which we picked up in LA and my dad was going to be stationed in Charleston, SC. He decided a family road trip was in order starting in Disneyland. The Hoover Dam, Grand Canyon, OK Corral, Six Flags & Uncle in Dallas, Family in AL, and then on to South Carolina. By the time we got to Charleston my older brother and I thought we were dead and I was sure glad to get out of the minivan. Being the younger kid I sleep on the floor. LOL No fighting in that minivan knowing my father. But looking back on that trip know I would not give nothing for those memories.
We go on road trips quite often. Not sure if I can label any of them as “the best”, but one of my favorites was a few years ago when we drove to Southern California from Seattle. I remember sitting in the passenger seat with my laptop, writing a blog post about the trip. My husband was driving. At some point the sky turned so spectacular with the sun setting and highlighting in beautiful hues the scattered around clouds that I had to write about that. It was as if watching a play with constantly-moving-and-shape-changing clouds, the flocks of birds flying around, and the sun as actors. It was amazing.
Awww… I love that you visit my blog Angela! I swear, it makes me so happy! <3

I love driving to Florida to see my daughter and grand kids
I’ve lost count of the number of road trips we’ve taken! We’re military so we’ve crossed across the US and up and down multiple times (I’ve been to all 50 states!). I think my favorite though is when my husband was graduating from OCS (think bootcamp) and I finally got to see my husband again. My dad and I drove from Seattle to Pensacola, FL. After my husband graduated, we them went to Athens, GA our first duty station. I love road trips!
My best road trip would have to be, Texarkana Texas in 2011. We have a family road trip and then we drove over to Little Rock, Arkansas to a theme/waterpark. So much fun!
Best road trip was to New York City.

I haven’t been on many road trips as an adult, but I’ve been to Tennessee a couple of times and am headed to New Orleans in a few weeks which I’m sure will be memorable!

I’ve never been on a road trip.
Best road trip woulhave to be when my cousin, boyfriend and brother decided to drive to the Outer Banks and go camping. This decision was made at 1am and we drove all night. By the time we got there everyone had fallen asleep, even the driver. We wrecked into a sand dune and then ended up camping where there was only cold water and a trillion sand spurs.. But we had the time of our lives!
My best road trip was about 10 years ago when my friends and I decided to go to Niagara Falls one night because we were bored and because they hadn’t been there before. There wasn’t much to do because it was pretty late by the time we got there so we crossed the border to the U.S. for something to do and ended up having McDonald’s then realized we really couldn’t do anything there either because it was around midnight and we didn’t have a lot of money so we crossed back to Canada and decided to head home. Then my friend made a wrong turn on the highway and we ended up downtown Toronto!! We eventually made it home around 4:00am. It was an eventful night!!
Me and my best friend for three days to destination unknown. We didn`t have a plan!
