Being the daughter of a big-city mayor, twenty-one year old Skye Summers has giant shoes to fill in her first real job out of college. With the public spotlight on her family, and her dad’s expectations running high, she jumps at the chance to work side-by-side on an important project with her sexy new boss.

Playboy entrepreneur Landon Steele has built a successful entertainment PR firm and broken more than a few hearts along the way. He’s counting on his enthusiastic new assistant to help him expand his business into LA… until he discovers she’s a pampered rich girl who’s in the public spotlight as much as his famous clients. Still, he agrees to give her a chance, and soon the two are heating up the bedroom as well as the boardroom.

But when Skye’s ex-boyfriend threatens to reveal a dangerous secret from her past, her job, relationship with Landon, and her father’s career are suddenly all on the line. Will she be forced to leave Landon? Or will she pursue her heart, regardless of the cost?

Picture Perfect was damn near perfect. It was exactly what I was looking for when I started reading it. It’s not too deep, but it draws you in with the first chapter and makes you not want to put it down once you start. This kind of book is my favorite… the kind where I’m smiling while reading and not realizing it until the hubs notices and says, “Good book?”.

Picture Perfect is the second in the Limelight series, and the first book I read from this author, so you can read this as a standalone without confusion. Recently single Skye (daughter of a big-time mayor and possible candidate for Senate) finally goes out on a girls night with her friend to forget about her ex-boyfriend and is ready to start her next chapter in her life, beginning with her new career as assistant at a up and coming PR firm. While out on the town, Skye is immediately entranced by a hot, delicious looking man from across the bar. This hunk of a man comes to her rescue as she is trying to get rid of a drunk admirer. At this part in the book, I’ve never really laughed out loud as hard as I did when I read what said admirer does to Skye- but it’s pretty freaking funny.  After Skye gets herself together, she runs into mega-hot guy and they share a hot embrace and kiss. Ever the cautious lady, Skye comes to her senses and ups and leaves the club, never getting this man’s name or info.

Landon, a playboy player at heart is struck sideways when he comes to meet Skye. The attraction is off the charts in the beginning of the book. In true romance fashion, the two end up meeting each other in the most spectacular situation for angst and more angst. I love angsty books and this has a lot of build up! I love that there was humor mixed in and that I could relate to Skye’s inner thoughts.

He adjusted himself and I swore I wouldn’t look down, but it was like there was a tractor beam and it was futile to resist. Damn. Judging from the bulge, I was missing out.

Deciding that the two can never hook up again, and trying to dismiss their mutual attraction to each other, leaves the reader wanting more and more. I found myself grinning and reading faster to see how and what will happen when the two finally seal the deal.

This book is a super good read, filled with angst and lots and lots of reading foreplay. When the two realize their feelings are as strong as they are, the story explodes and the sex scenes are freaking hot. Who doesn’t love a hot shower scene?

Before I could say anything, he grabbed both of my thighs, picked me up, and pushed my back against the shower wall. In one swift motion, he was fully seated inside of me. I let out a moan as he began thrusting into me.

But this book is more than cute couple finding each other. Each is battling with inner struggles and in a sense, trusting each other and themselves to fully commit to a relationship. Conflict arises from Skye’s past which jeopardizes her future, and she takes it upon herself to try to do what’s best for everyone she loves. But is it the right decision? Or is she risking too much and the damage will be done?

Haven’t you ever found yourself in a situation you didn’t know how to deal with? Have you never made a mistake you wish more than anything you could take back?

I recommend you read this book to see how everything plays out for this couple. I really enjoyed this book and look forward to reading more int his series. And I hope that Landon and Skye make appearances in the next installment so I can get a peek at their lives.

4 PERFECT Stars!
