“In this lifetime, Hales.” Daniel’s edgy voice behind the door snaps me out of my brief reverie, urging me to hurry. When I open the door I am momentarily frozen by the sight in front of me. I feel a gross spark below my waist, and ‘gross’ is putting it mildly. I can barely get enough of my man wearing his usual rugged look, but this look gives my heart a major systolic disorder. He is six feet three inches of smoking hot maleness. I need to swallow hard to get rid of the puddle of drool forming underneath my tongue. His impeccable body is draped in an expensively cut tux in complete contrast to the delinquent, sex-ridden mien that just oozes from his bad boy posture. And the combination of the two… D, you are so my illegal drug. “Christ, Hales, you look insanely beautiful.” His eyes fall on… Read more »

GIVEAWAY and REVIEW: Layers by Sigal Ehrlich
REVIEW: Layers is an adult romance with Hayley, forced into applying for an internship after losing a bet. And Daniel, Mr. Stark, the billionaire owner of the company where said bet is carried through to the end. I found the beginning to be a little too fast. I did enjoy this book, and the characters were well developed, but the actual relationship really wasn’t. I didn’t really like Daniel. He treated his employees pretty bad, and although he was sweet with Hayley, it was very Jekyll and Hyde. Even Hayley mentions this, so it was on purpose. Even though he had a good explanation for why he was so aloof, I just didn’t connect with him all that much until the very end. The pacing was good and there was a lot going on in the book. One thing in particular was the running internal monologue in Hayley’s head. I… Read more »
GIVEAWAY and EXCERPT: Layers by Sigal Ehrlich
EXCERPT I take a deep breath, and as I exhale, words gust out of my mouth. “Do you honestly believe that after you’ve made me come all the way here, and humiliated me for the last few precious minutes, I would want anything to do with you? Let alone spend more of my valuable time on you?” Not waiting for any reply I add, “Valuable time which you’ve already so disrespectfully consumed.” His dismay at my verbal attack is palpable. “Why, Mr. Stark, you were so talkative a few minutes ago. Have you lost your words? Do you need a moment?” Wow, did that just come out of my mouth? I’m terribly shaken, but boy am I ecstatic. Well done. He recuperates in seconds and his baffled expression transforms. He’s collected, but he has that wicked glow back, dominating his eyes. Next, to my complete surprise, he stands up and… Read more »
