GIVEAWAY and EXCERPT: The Last Bastion of the Living By Rhiannon Frater
The Last Bastion of the Living By Rhiannon Frater Excerpt from Prologue A massive shockwave rippled through the perimeter wall, tossing soldiers off their feet and onto the catwalk, or over the wall into the Scourge horde below as one of the mobile units twisted around in one of the deeper craters and wrenched another unit completely about. The torsion between the two units sent another shudder through the perimeter wall and Maria clung to the catwalk as Ryan fell on top of her. Together, they rode the catwalk to the ground, tumbling into the mud. Maria immediately scrambled to her feet and gasped. The steel mesh had torn free of one of the units and the Scourge were shoving their bodies through the frayed opening. The squads closest to the breach opened fire. The mesh wall shimmered as it wavered under the onslaught of the undead. The mobile units… Read more »

REVIEW: The Haunting Season by Michelle Muto
The Haunting Season by Michelle Muto is one heck of a scary story. I used to be a very big horror reader back in the day 😉 but I’m a total chicken these days, so I don’t normally pick them up. But this description caught my eye and the cover is gorgeous, and when I read the sample I knew immediately that it was well-written. This story begins with the character Jess. Jess is sort of a mess when we start – you see she sees dead people. Or not. Well, Jess used to see dead people, but for some reason, she can’t anymore. She’s been offered a chance to participate in a paranormal study at an old Savannah mansion called Siler House, and she jumps at the chance, hoping it will bring back her previous ghost-seeing skills and she can get some closure. Which sounds weird, except Jess’ father… Read more »
Review of Red Fox by Karina Halle
Red Fox by Karina Halle Oh, that Dex and Perry! I love these two and writing a review of the Experiment in Terror books is effortless and fun, I swear! First off, Perry. How do I even express how much I love this girl? I wish more authors would make a Perry in their stories. Perry is complex, in fact I know there is so much more to her based off the hints Karina Halle is dropping through the series, but even if I didn’t feel that something was coming, I’d still think Perry was a 100% developed character. Also, the romance that has no romance concept is one of my favorite things about this series. I LOVE that Perry and Dex have to work together, that he has a beautiful girlfriend, and that he teases her about how they +might+ have something else in their future. OK,… Read more »
How to Do a Book Trailer
How to Do a Book Trailer by Rebbekah Ford Author of Beyond the Eyes Buy Beyond the Eyes Amazon Barnes & Noble Smashwords I never thought I could do a book trailer because frankly I am less than proficient at computers. However, I figured out how to do one and it’s free! So if I can do it, so can you. Seriously. I’m not very good or knowledgeable when it comes to technology. Hell, I don’t even own a cell phone or know how to use one. So yeah, if I can make a book trailer, I know you can too. Oh, and as a side note, there are several ways you can make a book trailer. You can make it as an actual movie with actors portraying your characters, you can use animations, or you can use still photos set to music with the storyline written on the photo, which… Read more »
