“Well, you need to remember everything you’ve been told about the neutral area between strongholds. The Outlands of Temple are cursed. Yes, it’s a large city and thrumming with people, but it’s also a supernatural focal point. A vortex of some sort that attracts people. Normal and supernatural alike.” I gulped. “So it rains here all the time. Why would anyone want to stay here?” Ephrem rubbed his face, scratching his chin. “Look, I don’t know how much they’ve told you, but like I said, it attracts people. It attracts all sorts of unsavory people too. That’s why it’s dangerous to go traipsing around this place at night. Actually, it’s not safe at any time. No one leaves willingly, either. This place is like… I don’t know… like the strongest magnet in the world. It draws you in, latches onto you and never lets go. People are warned to never… Read more »

$25 GIVEAWAY- Black In White By JC Andrijeski
I approached him assuming he was a psychopath. The most dangerous types were harder to spot. Often highly intelligent, deeply manipulative, glibly charming, uninterested in other people and totally unwilling to acknowledge the individual rights of anyone apart from themselves, the more dangerous individuals with anti-social personality disorder were masters at evading detection by psychs who couldn’t see past the veneer. Narcissistic bordering on grandiose. Inflated sense of their own entitlement. Zero compunction about manipulating others. Generally lacking the capacity for love. Generally lacking the ability to feel shame or remorse. They either experienced only shallow emotions or feigned emotion altogether. They had a constant need for stimulation… Well, you get the idea. Truthfully, I doubted this guy would talk to me any more than he would talk to the cops. Well, unless he decided I could help him in some way, or perhaps entertain him…since “short attention span” was… Read more »
$25 GIVEAWAY- Guarded Hearts by Bryce Evans
Excerpt One: And for once in her life, Lilly wanted to feel good about someone else wanting her. Her moan speared him on as one hand slipped between her legs, touching her where no man had ever touched. At first, it was only a soft caress, barely a tease, until she opened her legs further, urging him to continue. Instead of Knox being the one who wanted longed for, the mating pull had gained control of her body too; she wanted him to touch her everywhere. “You’re so wet.” Knox mumbled against her neck as his finger moved inside of her, making her groan. “Do you like that?” “Yes” Lilly slipped her hand through his hair as his punishment continued, and he added another finger, slowly moving up and down, teasing her until she cried out, “Oh…Knox.” Lilly screamed as her back arched off the ground and her first… Read more »
GIVEAWAY and RELEASE DAY CONGRATS: The Dark Ones by Rachel Van Dyken
EXCERPT: I didn’t open my eyes. “No staying in bed all day?” “About that…” Ethan sighed. “The good news is it will feel like we’ve been in bed for days when really it could have been mere hours.” “Hmm?” I perked up. “Well, that’s a nice trick.” “I’m full of them.” His eyes sparkled. “Care to know more?” “Yes,” I whispered, my mouth finding his. With a groan, he pushed me back against the mattress and loomed over me, his naked body glorious-looking against the sunlight streaming through the window. “Perhaps we’ll stay a bit longer.” “Yes.” I nodded my head eagerly. “I’m your mate, after all. Don’t you want me to be pleased?” “You were pleased at least four times last night, possibly five, if we count the time I—” “Shh.” I put my hands over his mouth. He smirked. “Afraid the dust will hear?” I rolled my eyes…. Read more »
GIVEAWAY and REVIEW: Inner Fire by R.L. Stedman
REVIEW Inner Fire was an interesting concept. What if a genetic disorder caused a girl to get so hot, she can not only burn herself, but others too? Intriguing. Corrine was dealt an unfortunate hand at birth. She views her ability as a handicap or a curse, but her gran, who also has the same condition, sees it as a strength. There is a subplot in this book that deals with how London has cameras everywhere. This is actually true and I found all that very interesting, however I don’t think it was well-developed. I never quite made all the connections that seem to be promised in the beginning. There is a lot of action in this book and while I usually like that, some of it wasn’t the exciting kind. I did enjoy Corrine’s backstory a lot. I loved how the author weaved in true life events in New… Read more »

$25 GIVEAWAY and EXCERPT: Athena’s Ashes by Jamie Grey
EXCERPT Renna jolted awake as a warm hand brushed against her face. She’d been dreaming again. Of ships and stars and men she’d thought long dead. And right now, she had no idea what was real and what she’d made up in her head. Renna licked her cracked lips and opened her eyes. It took a moment for them to focus on the face hovering above her. A face from her dreams. “Finn,” she croaked. “Shhh.” He smiled down at her, expression full of concern. “Don’t talk, just take it easy. You’re going to be fine.” His fingers brushed a strand of hair away from her cheek, and her skin erupted in goose bumps. If she wasn’t so weak, she’d have thrown herself at him. Instead, she ordered her own hand to touch his. It resisted at first, but eventually it moved and Finn curled his fingers around hers. The… Read more »
GIVEAWAY and EXCERPT: Silent Whisper by Andrea Smith
USA Today and Amazon Bestselling author Andrea Smith Silent Whisper (Limbo Series #1) Andrea Smith Paranormal Suspense August 24, 2014 Excerpt I was still distracted as I walked up the concrete sidewalk to my back door, fumbling inside my handbag for my keys. I hadn’t noticed that someone had circled around to the back of the condo, and was a mere six feet away before addressing me. “Karlie Masterson?” the female voice said, causing me to practically jump out of my skin. “I think you might want to listen to what I have to say.” I turned abruptly, clutching my handbag by the straps as if it were a weapon or could be used as one if necessary. “I’m sorry,” the woman said, “I didn’t mean to frighten you.” “Who are you?” “I’m Anna Maria Castellano, Nick’s wife. Can we talk?” Buy Link Amazon B&N Connect to Andrea… Read more »
